The rear case design causes the rear drive shaft to have more of an angle up and down vs sideways like most others do, and has the benefit of lower CG. This still isn't a "problem" and is fairly normal. It isn't really higher wear than other vehicles, and if kept clean doesn't really wear all that fast either (I'm on a release kit that's been driven hard at least twice a week and added in some long practice days too, and it is just now getting to a point where I might want to replace it). The thing that will make that extra angle wear really fast is not keeping it clean and lubricated. I shoot it with MooSlick when building and then after each race day just use the track's air compressor to blow things out of the truck.

If I ever have to replace the rear shell on my truck (or my EB48), I'll probably replace it with the newer part, but I'm in no hurry to do so, especially when that dog bone is cheap to replace anyway (MUCH cheaper than the CVD's I kept blowing through on the Losi because of the same kind of angle issue).

Fastest Shipping Around

Not to change the subject :weird: but I got to say I've been spoiled by Tekno shipping.

I just got an email from a hobby store that they just shipped something I ordered Wednesday morning.

Danny please tell your shipping guys they get a raise. :D

2.5 months is longer than most of my cvds last if I run on a regular bases.
I remember when I bought my d8 if you ran full droop, the front driveshafts would almost come out, yet they come out with the hara which had the same problem, only option was to limit droop, buy their upgraded driveshafts or tekno driveshafts. Yet people complain that tekno found a more efficient way to run their drivetrain with a $13 housing and a couple bearings, this was never addressing a problem they had just improving to make their kits have less wear to save the customer money. That sounds like a great company to me. Good thing I only paid $335 for my kit, should have paid $460 for a scte 2.0 because I bet that has no problems.

probably going to order an SCT410 in the next day or so. What add ons should i get for the car? Going to get the aluminum hexes and the air control guards, anything else that should be deemed a must for it?

What springs are the current trucks coming with?

I tried the rear diff housing. Its a lot lot quieter now. Cheapest upgrade on the truck followed by aluminum (non bending yet) drive shaft. The straighter rear driveline binds less I think allowing you to use lighter fluids in the center diff while still having all wheel drive. With lighter fluids before my fronts would wear out a lot faster.

Not so much on a brand new set of SS enduros the past week.

Of course most of it is probably due to the insane traction my BCE chassis developed :).

Weird I've been running the crap out of mine since I got it on a really high bite track. I've got probably 35-40 packs through it already. I see no odd wear at all. Like. At all. Now my scte needs a full set of new outdrives.... But no one cares about that lol.

Is it normal for the front tires to wear out quicker. I noticed that with my new car. I run 7 10 5 diff fluid on a medium grip track. On full throttle the rear end likes to break loose.

I get it cheaper than that with the military discount they do. Plus I can pick it up at the local track since we are all in SD.

Well you didn't say anything about that...hahaha:lol:

Your going to love the truck. I just put mine together and it was a blast. Can't wait to race it. When you shake the truck it doesn't feel like its going to fall apart....like some other brands!:sneaky::lol:

I didn't care for the stock springs. Greens all around seems to be perfect for me
