In need of more steering , we are trying to make the steering more aggressive entering the turn should I lower the ride height 1mm to the rear ride height ? . the buggy is a 2016 xb4 7000 diff oil in front-- slipper in center-- 5000 in rear. thanks for any help

Are you already running the stock 9* Caster Blocks??

I'm running a 16 XB4 with 7k-300k-5k and has a ton of steering already.

Check out the XB4 Setup helper guide form Petit RC database

Narrower front track width, gains faster steering response but also has its side effects.
Lower holes for camber links (higher roll center) or more shims for higher roller center on the caster block.

My 16 has a slight push as well in the technical sections as well. My rear end is planted nicely which I like. I was thinking about moving my front shocks out on the tower one hole at a time to see if that will help. Diffs are 8-500-8 and still using base clay set up. My car is very easy to drive which I like, so I may just live w/ a little push for now. My car has been everything I hoped for/expected so far. Last weekend I had my best race ever (speed/consistency), I am definitely not missing my b44.3.

Stand front shocks up on tower and/or lean rear shock down on dower to get more steering. Shorter rear link or longer front will help also.

I would say it's a mid corner on power push. It seems to have decent turn in but as soon as I give it some throttle my turning radius doubles/triples. I'm new to rc (9 months) so I'm still trying to figure out tuning,driving, and consistency. I haven't noticed a off power push, I tend to brake just before a turn then try to on power threw the turn. What are you running for camber and toe in the front? I would look to your bump steer first. If the wheels bump to a lesser steering angle when the front of the car comes up it will be difficult to fix the transition from rolling to on the gas. If bump is ok.... If you are 0 to -1.5 camber in the front. Try a little more camber, -2 to -2.5. Maybe more anti squat in the rear so when you accelerate the rear maintains its ride height better.

Try rolling thru the turn and see how that is, roll thru and then get on power.
With being new, it sounds like driving style and working on race lines on the track.

If there's any local fast guy at your track let them take it for a spin and see what they think and watch the areas where you think its pushing to see what lines they take.

I had your exact problem when I switched to the progressive springs. Once I put the soft 1 dot springs back on, my amazing steering returned.

Hi buddy , if in need of more steering and you have adjusted what you can at the front of the buggy, don't forget to play with the rear end.
There are adjustments you can make which will help the back of the car swing around =faster cornering!
When the rear end is too locked in , sure its easy to drive but you won't be able
to turn fast laps compared to somebody that has their car dialled.
Try freeing up the rear with out it being too loose that you'll be inconsistent,
and watch your lap times drop!

Not sure if I bit off more than I can chew; I've been in the RC scene for a month and bought an Xray XB4 2017.

This thing is definitely durable, just sucks that their QC missed manufacturing one of my parts to the fullest. One of my two servo saver pivot shafts isn't threaded on one end so I'm only almost finished with my build.

LHS offered to thread it for me but seeing as how they aren't very local, I found a set on ebay. Xray never got back to me via email and it's impossible trying to join their forum.

I run -2 camber all around, I totally agree on driving lines/style. But in certain sections at bumps and jumps there is some turns that you just can't roll threw. Some turns are long winding sections w/ small jumps/bumps and a wide 180 where throttle is a must. There is a team driver that's been racing there so I'll have him watch or drive my car if he gets a chance. Unfortunately my local indoor track is 2 hours 15 mins away w/ 40$ for tolls and I've gone 2 weeks in a row so I must take this weekend off. Back at it on the 12th I guess, I'll do some maintenance to pass time.
