I checked the screw holding the crown gear that goes down hrough the center of the driveshaft and it was all the way tight. But, before checking that it does seem as if the screw is loose causing the play, so I'm not sure where else this play could be coming from seeing that my screw was def all the way tight.

I ordered new bearings and new bulkheads and some shims. well see what happens when i build it again with the existing bulkheads and bearings and ill take a vid. if theres too much play im going to shim it, or potentially just swap the new bulkhead and bearings in.

Any other suggestions/ideas on whats going on would be appreciated. thanks
Maybe the screw you're using is too long? Try a shorter screw and report back.

Same as the other side and there's no play there. It seems like maybe my bulkhead was made with bad tolerances. Anyone else experience?

did anyone see these new 4mm shock ends for the xb2 and xb4. this is going to be a must need for our style tracks here in the USA for more shock travel. \

agreed but more so for the 2wd than the 4wd. I think you would only use them in the rear as well but I may very well be mistaken.

This is a bad idea for the 4wd. The droop already has to be limited to keep the driveshafts from rubbing the differential out drives.

team drivers have been running them for almost 2 months with no issue. Xray wouldnt just release then without testing them and finding positive results. this is nothing new as many of use have been unscrewing the stock eyelets for the last 2 models of the xb4 to gain more travel.

You'd just have to test carefully. I doubt you'll be able to use that much droop with all of the hingepin settings.

The 2016 seems to have plenty of droop?

The bones hit the outdrives on full compression without external limiters, but my 2016 has plenty of clearance at full droop. And I run no internal limiters and shock ends unscrewed 2 turns. The longer ends should work fine from what I can tell with my car.

There is definitely a difference then between the 15 and 16 car with droop. We have 15's. Come to think of it, I am wrong. It's under compression where the issue is.

Agreed, the longer ends will be going on my XB4 as well as my XB2

yeah the 16 has alot more travel then the 15spec. That was one of the big changes in the car. I know a buddy that had to run the 15spec arms on his 16spec car because he didnt have 16arms on him and he could totally notice a difference. we put our cars side by side and it was a big difference

Hello. I recently purchased an XB4 2013 and I love it. Even over my 22-4. The question I have is can my version be converted to run a shorty pack rather than saddle or should I just save up for a 2016 spec? Thnx.

I bought the Exo 12mm front and rear hex for my XB4. I bought the 1408/1409 part number setup so the width is 247mm overall front and rear. Looks a bit too wide. Should I have gone for 243mm front/rear width for ideal handling geometry?

What rims are you using?

From the exotek site:

1456 makes the rear wheel width about 243mm wide with AE/HB/KYO style wheels. XRAY 12mm wheel width is about 245mm wide.
1408 makes the rear wheel width about 247mm wide with AE/HB/KYO style wheels.
1409 makes the front wheel width about 247mm wide with Kysosho 4wd front wheels.
1409 makes the rear wheel width about 243mm wide with AE/HB/KYO style wheels. XRAY 12mm wheel width is about 245mm wide
1410 makes the front wheel width about 243mm wide with B44.2 4wd front wheels.
