The only time I ran into glitching with my Savox 1256 was running a Castle MMP and it didn't matter what brand the receiver was. No problems running on a old Novak SS, a Tekin RX8 or a Tekin RS Pro. The BEC in the MMP is just weak. I haven't had any trouble at all with my 1251.

You can't beat the Futaba BLS451... A monster of a servo. 10 times better than any savox.... which while I admit are great "bang for the buck" servos, are not that great.

The problem with glitching or brownout with savox & spectrum high amp draw servos is that they draw more than the 3 amps most esc's put out at stall... 5a.

Stall current (at locked): 4000 mA @ 4.8V (who wants to run 4.8 and still more than 3a)
Stall current (at locked): 5000 mA @ 6.0V

Like was said, a glitch buster (cap) can help, but you may need a external bec (CC 10a) or an esc that delivers 5a in the end.
Not in your case but the crappy spectrum 300 rx running the TG with just about any setup other than external bec can give you problems.

IMO, don't cheap out on the servo with a savox.

I have had good luck with futaba and hi tec... Dont go savox... I have had one savox, a 120 dollar one, and it went out on the first run. Then when I try to get warranty work, I send in the servo, they say they wont fix because of user error. There was no error at all just a crappy servo with crappy service.

Why are Futaba servos so pricy!?

I would love to get one to match my radio but wow thats a lot of money on a servo!

Seems like I will be going with a DS1015 but first I am going to ask the guys at the track about their experiences with Savox because it seems like everyone at the track runs Savox or XP servos.

Also, I see many pros even use the XP servo

My Savox 1257TG in my 22 doesn't glitch with my Tekin RS. Ran an entire race day without using a glitchbuster with out any glitching.

Oh BTW, I'm using a Spektrum and a "crappy SR300"...

Only complaint I have about my Savox servo(s) is they are noisy at idle.

Futaba's are a great value, $105 for a BLS451 is not that exspensive, if you want to see exspensive try looking at KO Propo servos: RSx- $165, BSx- $200!

What can I do to remove glitching with my setup:

ESC & Motor: LRP SXX TC V2 with Reedy Sonic 7.5
Battery: Reedy Wolfpack 25C 5000MAH
TX and RX: Futaba 3PM-X with R603FF

Thanks so much!

The Savox 1257tg pulls too many amps for your LRP speedo. It'll likely kill the BEC in the ESC...

Go with the XP or a Futaba instead!

Savox all the way.
Run a 1251 in my DEX410 (Hobbywing 120a V2.1. Frsky receiver) and 1258 in my DEX210 (Hobbywing 120a V2.1 Futaba reveiver)
Never any problems withe the Savox servo`s, but I just killed the gears in a Futaba 9402.
I`ve seen top drivers in the USA use Savox so they can`t be so bad you haters want them to be.
When the receivers and the esc`s can`t provide enough amps is it really the servo that is the problem ?

I have one, don't hate it. Just trying to help someone avoid possible headaches. I had to go CC bec after my 1257 smoked the bec in a couple months old rx8... 2 turns into a heat. Broke the tabs off my 8 year old airtronics and wanted to finish the race day so I got what the track had. I asked if I would have issues like I have heard and guy at track shop said it's hit & miss with them. Even with the rx8's bec he has seen them work and also seen them not work. They had a couple other servos that were $100+ but I passed. In hind sight, I spent $80 on savox and another $30 on CC bec, should have just got the better/lower draw servo and not have to deal with the external bec. And I could have finished the day which was the whole reason I bought the servo.

Kind of is the servos fault until esc manufacturers start using a 7a bec or something than can constantly provide more than the 5a they ask for... what do they expect us to run it on?
If you have a 540 motor in a light 2wd buggy, you may get away with it. But combine savox with a power sucking 4 pole in a heavy sct 4x... trouble brewing. I do think it would not be difficult to run a slightly bigger bec, but the manufacturers are mostly giving us 3a and in a few 1/8 esc's 5a. I have seen esc's with higher output, but their $500+
