So is it crucial to spend the extra $50 on the aluminum hubs for this car to get it dialed like was mentioned in previous pages? Or is it more of a "want" instead of a need for the car?

I just finished my build and about to finish the shocks.
What is a good starting point with the stock oil with white 5 hole pistons.
Running at OCRC and West Coast

The aluminum hubs are mostly want. You do get a larger more dependable bearing on the outside, and more roll center adjustments, but it certainly isn't necessary. The only "need" (IMO) are aluminum rear suspension hangers.

This doesn't mean it will be the right thing for you, but it's a good reference point. The team drivers are running the new Kyosho blank pistons with rounded edges with four #55 holes drilled out and 30L f, 27.5L r. I opted for the 1.3mm GHEA four hole pistons, which are the same size but tapered on one side giving you faster rebound with slower dampening. You can also use the 55 four hole pistons from the Losi 22 if you don't want to drill your own.

Based on that, you'd probably want to try going up a little bit in oil weight if you're going to run five hole. But it all comes down to personal preference so start there and see how you like it.

Nice meeting you guys too. I had a great time, even though I broke on the first couple of laps in the second heat and the main. Bad luck! The RB6 felt great though. Definitely need to throw out the old Reedy 4000 shorties. They suck. Already ordered something better.

I am going to stay up past my bed time tonight to setup the electronics in my new 6. Without looking through this entire thread does anyone have any pictures of their electronics install with shorty battery placement?

Besides, I barely can read and only look at pictures.

EDIT: I have a full size servo, Orion R10, small Airtronics RX, and already have the PT on top of the servo.

When using aluminum rear hubs in RB5 rear arms, do I use a grub screw in the aluminum hub to secure to arm pin?

I am mostly using the Jconcepts b4/RB5 wheels. I still have a B4 as well and share wheels. The fronts are perfect. The rears have about 1/2mm per side narrower offset than stock Kyosho wheels. If needed I just use Tamiya 1/2mm spacers from touring cars.
