Still searching for a Mid motor or rear motor setup sheet for a carpet track? Prefer with a Ball Setup. Will be running a 17.5 Viper w/ Viper VTX10 ESC also. We usally run Dynamite Robbers or Street Fighters.

I listed this setup from an RCT member on the front page under RCTech Member Setups. http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachme...t_20121110.png

Still no "official" TLR setups for mid-motor/carpet yet, but the above setup should be a good jumping off point.

From the transmission out it should be stock Losi plate..AE slipper pad...AE spur gear..VTS assembly outer housing, pad, plate, pad and outer plate then AE spring AE washer and Losi nut. Then I used spacers on the spur gear cover like someone had posted earlier.

So has anyone run the associated big bore 2 hole pistons in their TLR shocks? Results?

That is very helpful for me. I was gonna stick with the Ball Diff. My track hooks up pretty good with Slicks and Street Fighters also. But might try them tires to be diff.

I am currently using them in my 22t and 22sct. they are very smooth.
No need to drill/file/clean. just simple.

Do you prep those tires? When I tried them they had no side bite at all, regardless of surface.

Not running any weight anywhere? BTW, just posted your setup on the front page in the RCTech Member setups. Thanks!

Keep em coming guys, if you have a setup that works really well for you but is different than what the Pro's are using, feel free to share them. We still don't really have a good outdoor setup for really loose tracks, so if you have one and would like to share it, feel free to post it and I'll put it on the front page. Please remember to note how much weight your using and where you put it if applicable.

When brand new I use paragon before I run and after I clean them with simple green until they break in then I just use simple green it makes them pretty sticky. Depending on traction on each night I may use paragon or simple green or nothing at all.

Nope no weight I tried several variations and it just made the car feel too sluggish on our tight tracks, plus there's better ways to get traction then just add weight. BTW I got this setup from another RCTech member I just modified it to add sway bars. I also changed springs and got rid of the giant brass knuckle on the back.
