I was actually referring to the rear. I suppose you're right, with the way the chassis is shaped it wouldn't wear on the transmission case anyway. The transmission actually rides higher than the lowest part of the chassis.

Well crap...I ended up stripping one of the small gears that are in the diff case. Anyone else have that problem? What would cause that?

Almost finished with my kit. It seems a lot heavyer than my SC10 2wd. Is a castel 1410 3800kv going to be enough motor? It was a really fast motor in the SC10.

I used a touch of 50w, slipper was backed off 1/2 turn from being fully tightend, Motor is a velenion 3500. Care seems like it has decent power but could use a little more punch, no dirt, possibly overtighted the case though.

Direct fit. Loosen the slipper it will save your trans internals. I personally dont like setting my slipper by holding the tire and stabing the throttel and tring to make the front end come up. I prefer putting the truck on the surface that your running on and have it slip a foot or 2 before it hooks.

Considering the support kit comes with 2 idlers, I'm going to assume that TLR designed that to be the weak point in the transmission.

Mid motor setups run 2 idler gear thats why its in the support kit.
