I have ran my SC10ft in the 17.5 class for a year and won points so I got new Viper vtxr10 esc and Viper 8.5 motor to run open 2wd SCT to try something new. I am trying to make some adjustments to get more rear grip off the corners and less bounce and roll but not sure where to start I have 27.5wt/green springs/#1 pistons/thin sway bar/31mm r.height/shock location inside-inside/ 35wt/red springs/#3 pistons/33mm r.height/shock location middle(tower)-inside(arm). I have turned down the esc to 30%punch/10Deg. timing on top end only and have it on a delay but motor is at 30deg. isn't that stock on motor? Any chassis setup.or esc./motor advice on getting more grip and square up better on throttle and also what gear are you guys running with 8.5 motors? Thanks!

Default SC10rs help with integy upgrade...

Can anyone tell me what type of front axles to get with these Integy steering blocks? They're too small to fit in the Integy caster blocks without a spacer & the existing axles are too big to fit in them...

I bought this Integy pack & am trying to use it all but I must be missing something, just wanna finish this SCT...

I'll have to post pics later I guess...

Default battery for an sc10 rs?

Just put the motor and esc from an Associated sc10 Rs into a custom truck. Reedy 3300 kv motor and the sc700 esc combo. I've been looking around for a good lipo battery to run in it. I've seen more than a few people say that they like the 2s 5000mah 35C people hobby one and I think it might be a good fit. The thing is, I don't have a lipo charger yet. Does anyone know of a good charger and battery combo for this that I could pick up at a reasonable price? Also, I only need the lipo to charge this battery. I don't intend to buy anything bigger so i don't need a big fancy one that will charge up to 6s lipo's or anything but if thats all thats offered ill get one.

I'm up for any and all suggestions so thanks for your input

I'm having trouble with rear wheel wobble, not sure if the rear wheels are supposed to wobble a lot or not, but mine do. We run in loose/sandy dirt. I have an SC10 2wd RS. I've put 2 holes in the tires, and it seems like dirt is still getting in the tires and probably the cause. I just tried putting 2 more holes in the tires to see if that helps. These holes are in the rubber...I know there are already2 holes in rim for air, but the holes I'm referring to are in the tires' center line to help dirt escape.

I've broken 2 dogbones so far, both on the same side. And I just checked my bearings on that side and they didn't seem loose/worn to me, but i changed them anyway, and now that side seems a bit more tight, so maybe the bearings were starting to go. This is also the side that gets the most outward work...it would be the right side of the car if you were sitting in it, most of my track is left turns, so the right side of the car gets the most work.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was some other suggestions I could do to improve the rear end not wobbling around. I think I read you can change the rear hubs to b4.1's because this has a larger inside bearing...is that true? Also, would going with a CVD help? Thanks for any assistance.

ok, I assume you mean the tires are out of balance. This can easily happen with a tweaked wheel. The B44 rear hubs are plastic and have the larger outer bearing and it will save you some cash. Hub bearings dont last a long time. I would get some avids, they are like a dollar each. get the b44 hubs and order the bearing you need from avid. As far as the wobble. Probably wrapped rims, nothing you can do. also, make sure you get the avid revolutions and face the rubber seal outward.

Balancing the wheels will help with the wobble, but do so on new wheels, these might be too far out of round (if they are bent) to matter. Be careful when washing your tires, never dunk the whole tire in the water...just do the brush, and wipe them off when done so water cant get in anywhere. Some wobble will occur and there isnt much to do about it, but if it is significant then the above tips should help. CVD's should take a little out as well, it will definitely make it more efficient.

Yeah, sand get's into the tires and makes them out of balance...the rims are the KMC replica hex mount rims...not sure if they are warped. I think an easy fix would be putting some putty stick'em stuff on the inside of the rims to help with the balancing...someone mentioned something I could get at WalMart, like blue tack or some stuff to hang pictures on walls or something...I can't remember, but I'm sure this is something I'm going to have to adjust frequently because dirt just gets inside the tire here all the time.

I don't know if after I put putty on to balance if it would last long, for example if during the first race, the dirt shifts making the wheel more wobbly.

I'm assuming the b44 hubs also fit the t4.1 as we have the same wobble issue on a t4.1 and another SC10 rs I need to address.

BTW, we don't wash our tires...I blow everything off with a compressor after racing each night.

Its outdoor hard packed Georgia clay medium size track that don't groove up unless its a big event. So most of time we water and blow but still gets a little dusty and dry sometimes. Overall my truck does well except getting off corner gets loose also bounces and body rolls on power. Thanks!

Well, I broke another dogbone last night racing...this time it was on the left side of the car...which is opposite the right side where I've broke two thus far.
