I have the Avid hexes and my tires do not hit the body. Make sure your wheels are the correct offset.

Same, I'm running the Avid +3 wheels, no clearance issues.
|
have you switched the tires around to see if that made any differance?

Not yet. When I noticed the issue, I did notice one side stuck out further than the other. I will take a picture tonight and mess around with other wheels.

well some wheels are listed as front/rear wheels so that could make a differance

Is your body centered on your mounts? Sounds like a miss-centered body and making the body rub on one tire and not the other. That or deformed body mounts. It will not take much with hexes and +3 offset wheels. |

needing ideas about tires for my sc10 2wd... no serious racing just wanting some traction on a dirt track.. any ideas would be nice!
Thanks! |
HB beams seem to be the hot tire at the track I go to. Clay surface.
|
It depends on the track surface. If its pretty loose and gnarly you could try a Proline Caliber or AKA Enduro. The Caliber isn't exactly a great race tire but it does do well in loose, rough conditions. Both of those tires would work pretty well for bashing as well. I actually run super soft Enduros on the front during the summer months at the high bite outdoor clay track. Snipers and Tazers work on a green clay track as do Pressure Points. Once the clay starts to pack and a good groove forms a lot of people gravitate towards a bar tire like a BarCode. However, as ovalracer1m will tell you, the Panther Rattler kicks the snot out of the Barcodes on our local indoor clay track. Compound makes a huge difference too. Talk to the locals about what they are running. Hope this is helpful.

Do I need to run the ballstud foam covers? I usually run on outdoor 1/8 size tracks. Wanted to know if it is worth replacing the damaged ones.
Cheers. |
Need? No you dont need to. They are suppose to keep debris out of the cup. They "maybe" help the cups and balls last longer. But otherwise serve no real purpose.
