I've seen guys running Tekin T8 motors in Ten-Ts and they are the same diameter. So unless the length is an issue or motor mount limits you, the 2200KV Monster Motor should fit.

so sad about this thread, figured there would be some ending with pictures after all the to-ing and fro-ing about the motor and batteries.

run 5s on the mmm/2200 and you'll be within their "sweet spot rpms" and you'll have no overheating... but then again...it will be under control and thats no fun.

OK, I didn't want to steal his thunder, but since Darryl dropped the ball, here's pics of mine.

It has a BCE E-Line (Electric specific) chassis, the motor mount is an RC-Monster Ten-T conversion mount, battery tray
is an SCTE part, ESC is Mamba Max Pro, motor is a Novak HV6.5 with the 14MM tuning rotor, and runs on 3S LiPo.
Hardened diff outdrives all around, King Heads CVD pin keeper on rear center drive with TeknoRC Front center drive &
King Heads dual bearing forward center diff mount.
Designed for racing so I used a conservative motor setup.

looks fantastic...about to start work on the same thing but with a 2200kv mmm. have you had any issues with the diffs now that it's running? i was thinking of replacing my diffs, shock towers/a-arms and shocks to eight t's... think it would work?

No issues with the diffs so far. I glued the inserts when rebuilding the diffs after I got the truck, but the new diff case makes that unnecessary.

8ight-T parts on a Ten-T?

Well, 8ight Buggy (not truggy) shocks work well.

As far as all the rest, I suppose you could do it it you machined yourself a custom chassis. But what would be the point? Then you would have an 8ight-T with a short wheelbase instead of a Ten-T. All the stuff that makes a Ten-T be a Ten-T would be gone.

agreed, just looks like it would be a good thing to push out the width some. whats the diameter of your motor? i was thinking of running the 2200kv castle but can't tell if it will fit

My motor is 36MM diameter. The Castle 2200 is 42MM diameter. RC-Monster motor mount (what I have on my Ten-T-E) was designed to fit the 42MM motors. So does the Elite mount. You can fit a 42MM motor using the Losi mount if you modify the plastic piece that goes under the diff mounts.

What size is the spur gear? I need to buy a pinion that'll slide right in.
