how well would a novak ballistic 550 motor with a 4.5 stator work on 4s lipo battery?

i have seen it done in emaxx but i think you need the older 4.5 hv, in that ten t it will be violent as all hell, i would suggest either a tenshock 3500 kv on 3s or a castle 1415 on 3 or 4s

The HV motors and the ballistic 550s are identical, they use the same rotor, bearings, stator wire, ect. That being said, I've seen the 4.5t with the 14mm tuning rotor run on 4s in an e-revo, and its a monster. Watch your motor temps, and pick up the heatsink, and mount a nice sized fan on it.

Yea just watch your temps with the 4.5 on 4s. It will be, and there is no other word for it, insane.

i can't see it staying cool for longer than a couple mins. i had a hard time keeping my 4.5 ballistic cool on 2S in my ten-t. that was with a 14T pinion. i think the smallest you can fit is 11T. no way it's staying cool on 4S.

Your going to have to hack away at that heat sink to fit the Ten T /SCTE
