this is the esc i will be running in my ten t.

Running 3S on the ESC is not really feasible unless you use an external BEC.
No. Not sure anyone makes a sensored 550 size 4-pole.
Sad to say, you have made some bad choices of equipment. Not that there is anything wrong with Novak equipment - I use a lot of it, both ESCs and motors.
You should have asked first instead of deciding on stuff just because of what you already had and then posting your intentions.
If the Novak 6.5 550 you got was a Ballistic 550, you can really solve all your problems by getting a 8.5 turn or better, a 9.5 turn stator for it. Then you will be able to run 4S with reasonable gearing and not overheat. And that ESC will then work fine with two 2S battery packs (so long as you use the two separate inputs to the ESC).
Not the same, but just FYI, I've run a Novak 550 size 8.5 turn motor in a heavy 2WD SCT and after the race you could barely tell it had been run, judging by motor temperature.

does tekin make a 4 pole 550 motor that can run on 4s lipo?

Not that will run on that Novak ESC.
Castle makes the 1415 which is a 550 size 4-pole motor. It is a little much for 4S use but it is sensorless and cannot be run by the Novak ESC.
No one that I know of even makes a 540 4-pole sensored motor with a low enough KV to run on 4S.

couldnt a guy cut off the castle connectors off the castle 1415 and solder it directly to the esc?
#51
would this be a good way to go for a esc and motor?
#53
what would be my best option to run 4s lipo? could i get a different stator for the novak motor i bought?

I've only said that twice:

Mere mortals cannot replace stators on the HV series.
If you have an HV6.5 rather than a Ballistic 550 6.5 you can upgrade using the Novak Legacy Upgrade Program (http://www.teamnovak.com/cs/web_opti...ex_legacy.html) though if your motor still works, it is usually more cost effective to sell it and buy the new motor yourself.

i will look at that link ta man. but the novak specs say that the novak hv 6.5 motor can run on 4s lipo max i just looked at it myself.

parts are starting to come in the mail for my ten t. by this weekend it will be 100% assembled and put together.

darryl, a nice addition to the ten-t are these: http://m2cracing.com/product.sc?prod...&categoryId=49
they allow you to use 1/8 buggy wheels. when we were running ten-t's at our track everyone used 1/8 buggy wheels. they either had these adapters or used 810 axles.
edit: haha. i didn't see your other thread asking about this. but the M2C adapters are the easiest and cheapest way to go. other way is:
