Tekno RC EB48 Thread
good info thanks!
Right now I am targeting the winter to play with setup on the SCT410 in particular and the EB48 too. my ET48 felt excellent, even had a slight push to it which if I could cause that condition (rear too planted) I would be a happy man on the other two vehicles as I can always work away from that, its finding the traction that usually is the problem.
that the SCT410 nose down thing, but will be playing more with shock spring selection on this one.

Would somebody be willing to tell me why all the sudden there are 3 or 4 setups with the same shock package for outdoors? 6x1.5 vented pistons all using cts rated oils. Are the vented shock caps necessary, and what are you going to achieve with them?

Pistons - can say having watched the buggies and truggies with the 1.5 pistons, they are definately super smooth. Having finally built a set for myself it seems that these shocks really like them and they feel really smooth. Also even with the holes as large as they are, they still provide good pack. As for the CST oils, they tend to have more linear adjustments for weight, but could also just be the oils everyone is using. Quick glance at the oils available, AE and Losi are the last still using the WT system, all other oils are CST, AE lists the CST equiv. on the bottles. If you look at the CST on the AE bottles you will see that a weight of +-2.5 weight doesn't always equal 50 cst...and a diff of +-5 wt doesn't equal 100..

Oil weight has a lot to do with outside temps as well. I use the setup sheets as a baseline then go up or down based on feel. Yesterday at the race there were a couple of high speed rollers I could just barely double, but consistently, then when the main came the temperature had dropped about 30deg and I didn't think to lower the oil weights and didn't have enough spring to pop over the double.

Leave that nonsense for the other threads, we don't play those childish games here and try to help each other out. It's a valid question as they seem to be out of stock at most locations that actually keep their stock status on the website up to date (amain, tekno, fiercercsolutions, etc).

Well guys im kinda new here, so hello. I recentl;y picked up a .2 for me and a 410 for my son. ive got them set up and drove them today. The 410 handles perfect,it can drive circles around my buggy. his has csi pistons in it though. The buggy is pretty good but the rear end washes out pretty quick and easily. I didn't get to make a lot of changes due to rain starting. has yellows on rear and greens on front. 775 on diffs. truck is 7-10-3. is a big outdoor track low to medium traction. I just want it to drive like his truck. thanks for any help.
