for the money and warranty, you do get a nice ESC. If the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro could do more than 2S, would be a nice ESC in 1/8 too sizewise as it handles 4x4 SCT with no issues and is cheap now.

By the way, what servos were you using? I have been using for a single steering servo the Futaba S9351 and don't need a BEC or cap on it.

Parts lists and prices will be going to dealers and distributors today or tomorrow.
Cant wait to see the pricing and be able to preorder!

right now what is the preferred configuration you are running as far as traktion drive versus direct drive, mech brakes versus motor, etc?

Also, what is the weight difference between direct drive / motor brakes, and say traktion drive and mech brakes?

We did most of our testing indoors with a pinion and motor brakes. That is the preferred indoor setup. Outdoors, we favor the Traktion Drive system. If there's low traction, we'll put the mechanical brakes on. So it simply varies with traction conditions.

Traktion Drive or Elektri-Clutch adds about 20g. Brake servo, discs, pads, levers, etc is probably ~4oz. We weighed one of our test cars with the full setup and it was around 7.75lb IIRC.

thanks. I got your traktion drive here but was running carpet for a bit so stuff with the long shanks.

By the way, speaking of which, I know you no longer have to use them, but, can you if you wanted to? Figured I could keep my current gears versus buying all new ones.

Absolutely. Just flip the diff like you would for TD or EC. The main thing we were trying to get across is that you don't HAVE to use them.

I think so It is for me anyway - better do it now before the for sale ads become flooded with electric buggies when this comes out

Hi Tekno,
the long center front is using dog bone instead of CVD because there is straight into the front diff, right ???

any photos showing this setup ???
it's really innovative as the front diff should be angled for front caster

This looks, by far, to be the best designed 1/8 electric buggy out there. Glad to see you guys are not going for the dual pack deal.
