Did you make any changes to your setup after changing the chassis?

I was surprised how well my tekno eb48 held up at psycho nitro blast. I put the .1 version diff case in and added our home made brace and didn't have any problems out of the buggy itself. I hit the chassis on the big vertical double and hurt the esc. Other than that the buggy survived pnb with my poor driving.

+1 I did my ESC that way the first time in my SCT410 and it eventually broke the bell off my pro4hd due to the flex.

+1 I ran front and rear braces and did break one .2 rear gear box my last round of practice and also killed an ESC, then broke a rear CF tower on my SCT410.

I didn't really make any setup changes from my normal outdoor setup and the buggy handled great all weekend. It would hold the line as hard as I was able to push it within my skill set.

So are the .2 rear diff cases failing without cause ? Or are they breaking cause of a wreck, stress? Whats breaking/failing ?
I have 2 of the first gen EBs and was going to change them out..

Dont know the weights of the Tekno CF tower but if its 4mm and the 5mm is 25% thicker at 5mm then it would be 25% heavier. Weigh your CF tekno tower and multiply by 1.25. That should be a reasonable estimate.

Tekno said that there was a bad batch of the .2 cases that was injected/molded at a lower temperature than normal thus causing them to fail at the top ears of the case. I ran the .1 cases at psycho nitro blast because it seemed people haven't had as many problems with them compared to the .2 diff case. I'm not sure if the .1 case is stronger or not. I do know the two guys I pitted with both broke .2 cases in pro e buggy class during psycho nitro blast. They both where able to finish the race because of the metal brace they run.

Hi,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a new EB48.2.
Can you list me what spare parts I need to keep racing for a while without worring too much about crashes?
thanks
