I just built mine, and I must say it was a pleasure to build. I must have an updated kit, because I didn't have any 6 shims for my center dif that I heard people talking about............I did have a hard time getting the shocks(mostly rear) to not have air in them, I'll look into sanding a touch off the bottom edge of the top caps when I rebuild.

I've got my EB down to 6.4 lbs. I'm running it on 2S and I'm going to try and get it down to 6lbs. I'm using the sc401v2 motor right now and it pushes the car around perfect, but its not as light as the pro 4 so I'm going to try one of those as well. Going to add some option parts to lighten it up more tonight.

Lol, you're crazy Isaac.

Your car is going to gain some weight once you actually install some treaded tires, lol.

Nice!! The least that I could get my xray was around 6.5 pounds in theory, with a BH hobbies lt4 paired with 5000 3s and a 3300 pro 4 that with a frp battery tray and radio tray removed and all carbon.

I am guessing this baby will be lighter with swiss cheesing the battery tray removing more plastic and cf towers and plates and titanium buckles.

A straight run of wire from the motor to the ESC would put too much strain on the esc posts and possible lead to a failure on the PCB after a while. The chassis flexes and when this happens the distance between the motor and the esc changes quite a bit. The curve in the wiring allows the flex to be absorbed by the wires and not the ESC PCB.

Default Help me Tekno!!!!!!

I guess I spoke too soon. I just went out to try the buggy on my private track, and when I tried to break in the diffs per the manual, the center diff siezed up and had a meltdown!!!!! There were no 6 shims in my kit, so it must be a revised setup, and it was assembled carefully with nothing out of the ordinary to note. Now I have a messy car that hasn't even seen dirt, and my diff gears wont even come out because the case is melted around them.

A big kick in the groin, because I already sold my Losi, and this is the weekend we were all switching over from nitro to run electric for the winter. I hope I get some responses quick...........

Just to clarify:
It was fine spinning to break in the front/rear diffs by holding down one side, then the other, but the problem happened when you held down the front and then back of the car to break in the center diff?
I assume you built the center diff without any of the shims behind the spider gears?

I had the same problem, because i broke it in too fast. i was doing full throttle during the break in procedure. My spider gears melted into the diff case.
make sure you break in your diff with very slow speed. i now set my throttle on 10% when breaking in my diffs. You’ll notice that the speed will increase as the diff gets broken in using the same 10% throttle.
Also make sure your cross pins sit correctly and the notched spots are interlocked

Hi Kevin,
Sorry to hear about this. However this should not happen unless the break-in was done too fast or for too long . You have to go very slow (1/8th throttle as indicated in the instructions) and only for 30 seconds.

Ah, I was just being a smart ass anyway. I got one of the first run kits that you did have to shim the center diff. I seem to remember tekno saying they might change something so the shims aren't needed.

I had the same trouble with the shocks. What fixed it for me was removing the o-ring on the threads and sanding just a hair off the cap. That let's the cap fully seat.

Default tekno eb48

what a great kit to build. Note the rear wing is from a team durango dex408, i think it looks better and is probably more durable.

Durango and durable used in the same sentence lol, but it does look good. I bet Tekno's will be more functional.

On a serious note you should measure your ride hight before hitting the track.
