even better I then put the system in my sons slash and ran an 8 min main. the last 2 laps it slowed way down and couldn't make our big double anymore.
with 20 seconds left I was 35 sec ahead of 2cd place so I had to stop by the line and wait. it sat for atleast a minute and temped out 235*....still runs

Default Need 17.5 gearing help for T4 and B4!!!

I plan to race indoor offroad for the first time this year and need some help getting started with gearing on my T4 and B4. I have LRP Sphere ESC's and Tekin Redline 17.5's to run in Stock class. Using lipos batteries for both. The track is medium-large size and pretty technical. What Pinion and Spurs do you recommend for the truck and buggy?

78/30 for the truck and 72/32 for the buggy. those ore good starts, i ran that with my timing ramped up to the max on the motor so if you dont use the timing then gear up alittle more.

Hey guys I thought I saw something about using the rear B44 hubs on the B4 but was wondering if you could use those on the T4 and what the parts are need to do this.

Also what are the advantages of doing this?

Hey guys Im Down at LIR racing here. I just got a FT B4, and Run the stock Spur with a 22 Pinion. I am new to racing and want to know if that is too high or too low. I Run a Orion V2 10.5T. I have the EXP at 95 and the Expo at -10.

Also How much weight do you add and where? I think I have too much weight and in the wrong place. Thanks.

I am all new to Lipos and how they work, So the more info the better. Very fast learner and pick up fast. Thank you guys

thats too low, you should have a 81/26 with that setup, that is the stock spur gear. put your exp to 100, it is not the best for some motors. add weight in front of the trans case if you need more rear traction. some weight in the pockets of the chassis is good too.

How much wiehgt. the car came with 4 behind the bat. then 4 on the rear part of chasiss, 2 in front part of chassis and 1 in the nose of car.

And thank you with the gearing. I will have to try that out. Maybe that is why I am fish taling all over the place.

Just new to the game and trying to figure things out. Where or how do u figure out your gearing? And what does each # mean in the Ratio? thank you 9:57:1 is stock

take the weight off the nose and the front and you will be good to go. the final drive ratio is the ration of your spur/pinionXtrans ration. 81/26X2.6=8.1FDR. the trans ratio of b4 and t4 is 2.6.

You need 2 oversize bearings & b-44 crush tubes as well to install, the main advantage is extra durability from their oversize bearings ....

I just picked up a FT T4 and I am getting ready to build it. Are there any things I should replace and/or add from the get go. It seems the 30* hubs are what people are using so im getting those. What about the rear quick change hubs? Do those hold up? How about aluminum shock caps? Ive also heard GT2 front arms and bulkhead. Can someone help me out. This will be raced only, not a basher.

Many guys like to use the GT2 front end pieces since they are a bit more durable. Another option is to use B44 rear hubs for additional insurance. Lastly, keep an eye out for the new bleeder shock caps by AE.

I prefer to use RPM ball ends and spring cups as well. That is about it for racing that I know . . .
