Cool, thanks adam.

I need to play with gearing. The motor gets warm, but not hot. Brushless is a bit harder to tell what to do gearing wise, I think.

Does the GT2 stuff change anything as far as offset, rims, etc. I assume you are talking arms, caster blocks, spindles and hingepins, anything else?

Changes nothing as far as rims are concerned. Just need to cut down the outer hinge pin on the arm, it becomes the same length as the kingpin. If you use the front tower the ballstud mount is .060 lower. The front end is like bulletproof.

Tell me your not getting beat by that academy truck

I use to to just glue the two pieces together. They wont budge after that.

Not yet anyways! Tony TQ'd by 2 seconds. He broke ramming lap traffic and I was gifted the win. I had fast lap though! lol

Chris,

OK, ever have the little post you thread the ballstud into break off?

Do you still use the spring?

LOL! I'd prolly still run for academy if they made me 100% so I could afford all the parts I needed.

I've broken that peice and I dont glue the rack.

I ran the 4wd for a little while, but did break a lot of front end parts and bulkheads.

Yes and Yes. But the performance gain of gluing it outweighs the downside greatly.

Alright, Thanks,

My solution will be to glue the pieces together with a drop of CA, the saver will be locked for consistant steering yet (hopefully) will be able to pop in the event of a hard hit and save the upper post from breaking and the saver to give for the servo.

I don't like my B4 servo saver too tight. It makes the car unstable.

Also if you have a nice Nut driver you can really just tighten good. You won't need glue. I have tried gluing before and CA didn't last forever. I would try epoxy or replacing the pastic if it's stripped.

RB5- The issue is that there is hardly anything to thread into, look at the thread marks in the bottom piece (or lack there of). Running it looser (the point at which it slips back to) allows your tires to flutter which may be enhanced stability that you are feeling, but you are actually taking away steering as well as adding inconsistancy. It may depend on the surface you run on as well as the buggy's smaller tires if its in fact a problem. It is a problem with the truck on high bite.

i just purchased a FT B4 and i installed the xcelorin 13.5 brushless system with a max amps 5000 mah 7.4 lipo pack. i ran it with the stock spur and a 21 tooth spur this past weekend, which from what i understand was a misstake.

by reading back on hear i see i should probably be running a 29T pinion with the 78T spur. correct?

i also can't get the ride height up in the rear with the stock black springs with the collars threaded as far as they can go. i will be purchasing the green and silver springs soon. will these eliminate the ride height issues?

do i need to use the 1.5oz of weights in the rear with this set up?

i am also having a problem with the esc, which has the fan installed on top of it, hitting the stock body. has anyone had this issue with this esc? if so, what bodies are you using, or what are you doing to solve it?

thanks in advance!!

How is it running with that new Max Amps pack, other than the clearance issues?
