All this talk of Alum servo horns. Has anyone broke the plastic one? If you have your servo saver set right, you shouldn't brake one.

Just a heads up for anyone building/planning on building one of these. Frank L mentioned to me and he's right, when soldering a rx8, the wires must be flat or the body will be lifted on that side. you can see pics of mine a few pages back if you want to see what I'm talking about. Just don't want people to have to do things twice...like me

page 46, post #684.

I just got done with it and I only needed to lay down the black and white wires. The red will clear cause the body opens up at that point.

Finally got the body done even though I've got a LONG way to go before I'm any good at painting! If you rip please be gentle, I'm sensitive once in a long while, LOL!

Now if only my batteries would show up! HV had a bad turn of luck so I'm waiting on that. My other set of batteries are somewhere on the road to my house. Waiting sucks, especially since I've had this buggy for about 3 wks now.

Hi!
I'm from Portugal and I'm thinking in buying a Serpent 811-Be.
Can someone tell me some good online stores for parts (even for a good deal on a complete kit), inside European Union?
Regards!

Thanks guys! If any of you got more race stories with this snake I'd love to read about them (or vids, I know Frank has one out). Heck I might as well get some satisfaction threw others if I can't get it myself, wait that doesn't sound right? Looks like it's maiden voyage will be next wk the 3rd. We're having a big race called the Winter Blitz. What a way to get a first run in with a new rig,

Hello
I hope I will get this Friday my E-cobra. And on Saturday I hope to take pats in first race with this KIT. Can you surgest what setup I have to star. Now I have Nitro Cobra, dose setup from nitro is good for E-cobra or should I change anything?

I wouldnt dare post a vid because Im not a very good driver lol. I did give my stock box first race opinion a couple of pages back so here is my second race review. I made a couple of minor adjustments (nothing to mention for a set up) and ran at a different track than my first review. One negative I can see is with the body/chassis being so narrow if and when you get tangled up with someone this car is more prone to get stuck (wheels and arms stick out like a mini truggy). This car is by far the best handling and most forgiving I have driven (this year alone Ive had an 8 2.0, rc8, durango 408 e converted, and hb de8). The amount of air control and bad landing forgiveness is almost effortless. The speed of this car is awesome (with a 1900 tekin setup with no boost is REALLY REALLY FAST) no one was faster on the straight away by far. Durability seems like other serpent products I have had very solid and high quality. So the bottom line is if you dont get tangled up and are a half decent driver this car will make you look like a better driver. It is very well balanced and if you have good finger control even box stock is a very good option. I hope this helps
