well looks like my buggy will take longer to finish than I'd hoped for. I've been waiting for my amains news letter so I can use the $75 coupon code on my order. Just found out they no longer carry that code amymore:mad:

Hey Jason! Sweet, how do you find they compare? I've heard from a few guys who've moved from mugen saying that the serpents are harder to set up but once dialled they are very happy. I was very impressed by the quality of the finish.

So what servo's are people running/recommending to run in this snake? Also for those that already have them, can you share what weight oils you started out with all the way around, did you start with the factory settings?

For steering servo it's hard to beat the savox 1268's they don't break the bank and they perform great. My favorite servo is the KO rsx line. They are definatly at the top but they do stress the bank a little.
For fluids I started with the same as I run inthe nitro buggy 40 front and 30 rear with 5-5-4. After running the car I would bump the center fluid up to at least 7 as the front just unloads and turns the front tires into pizza cutters immediately when you pull the trigger hard. So prob 5-7-3 and 40/30 in the shocks with 1.3 pistons and maybe go up to 5-10-3 if the front still unloads. I had to got 5/7/3 from the stock 5/5/3 cuz the front was unloading. I might even go up to 10 in the center cuz it still does it a little bit. Oils are 350/300 and I stiffened the front shocks to pinks and lightened the rears to greys

I'm making 17-21 min with my 1900 on a similar 5300mah turnegy pack(s) I'll try a times run on Sunday. I haven't actually put it on the clock yet. |
I'm in the middle of my buggy build, MAN is this thing nice! Looks like I'm gonna have to get the truggy in the spring time for outdoors.

I have 3 questions for those that have already built the car. 1: does the FR FR on the front diff supposed to have protruding nubs like the back diff does? You can se in the pic that the diff housing has the clearance just like the rear but the FR FR does not have the nubs on them?
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/9290172e.jpg 2nd: after fully assembling the rear I'm getting about 1.7mm of back and forth play on the a arms? the fronts have none, is that normal? http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/1107d0f6.jpg 3rd: is the 0 inserts supposed to have "0" offset? Imeasured them with my digital calipers and they measure off by about .02. Also the #6 for the rear measures right in center? |

1. I dont know about the nubs you are talking about
2. My nitro does have a little back lash, I am thinking cause of the toe angle, if they were squared up they would be a little tighter. 3. You have the wrong number for the rear toe blocks. attached is the rear anti-squat and toe diagram. |
