In 4S I would definitely go for a 1900 though

what size pinion size should i use for a tekin 1900 on 4s? thanks

I agree 16 is good for a 1900 motor.

Frank, are you finding out that 5-5-4 for the diffs are working for you with electric?

5-5-4 seems to be working ok for me but I like the rear a little more planted for large outdoor tracks. I might have to drop it to 5-5-3 or 5-5-2 for the winter indoor tight tech track, but that track is very high bite indoor clay so the car stays pretty planted.

The email I read with advice from Easton said that the diff oils didnt play as big of a role as the correct shock and swaybar setup. Of course you cant go extreme but I think you get the picture.

I ran the setup I posted a couple pages back last Sat on a large unmaintained rough blown out track and I was pleased with how I was able to get around the track for the shape the track was in. The biggest thing I noticed, after my buddy pointed it out, was how the car seemed to be very forgiving and correct itself when I got it out of shape. Especially off a jump. I could jump and land where it looked like it would spin out and I hit the throttle and the car straightened out. It was almost like magic

For large outdoor tracks I would start at 5-5-4 and then adjust from there.

With this news and the posting a few pages back about finding a good replacement servo horn am I to assume that the horn in the kit is an issue. Do standard upgrade horns not work. Life has gotten in the way of RC lately and still have not started my build so just want to see if this is a must upgrade before i start....

I'm stumped, I have just picked up a 811 and I'm wanting a 811 electric too. So do I purchase a roller and convert or do I just buy the BE. Whats some of the pro's and con's? Thinking I can convert and be close to RTR for the price of the BE kit. Whats your alls take

porkchop 11-02-2011 02:28 PM

The 811Be is by far the coolest car I have built to date and its 1 of only 2 1/8 E cars currently on the market that began life as an E car not a nitro knock off. Even with the lid on you can tell there's something special going on with this car.

With all respect for Serpent lowers but there are already others 1/8 E cars (some have few years on the market) build as E not a nitro knock offs... :). Just remark.

Although Serpent indeed looks very nice.

The only other 1/8 E car I have seen is the HB car. Please share...
