You will be pushing it with those 4400's depending on track size. To me thr 2.0 rear just makes the car easier to drive faster.
|
Thanks mate.
Easier to drive always sounds good. Might just stick with the current batt's then, just to be safe. Worry about all the weight saving stuff if and when i get good enough to tell difference. |
just finished my 811be2.0 build but see there are nowhere for the receiver wires to go into the receiver box manual doesn't say anything either..where has everyone else put them through? pics?
|
There should be a little slot/port in the receiver box between the lid and the box on the ESC side. That is where the wires go through. I could not get all of my wires into the box without leaving the lid unscrewed some.

Has anyone had a chance to run the new 2.1 yet? I am looking to replace my worn out 1.0 with the 2.1 so I am curios to hear opinions of it. Also, does anyone know when the 2.1 will be available?

2.1
Absolutely love it.

Battery "c" rating
The last set of batteries I blew up because I didn't calibrate my esc or set the LVC:mad:. Completely my fault rushing everything. What's a good c rating to use for two 2s batteries in my 1/8 buggy.
Here's my setup: Serpent 811 be Tekin RX8 gen 1 Tenshock x812 1900 kv Protek 150 s Battery ? Could I use two of these batteries in my buggy and not worry about blowing them up with excess current draw? Any sugestions on other batteries to use in this buggy and what c rating? I just need a pair of batteries that will give me 12+ min of run time, have 4mm bullet holes, are relatively cheap, and are hard case. Let me know what you guys think, Thanks |
I personally use smc 7200 mah. I will have to check but I believe they are 60 or 65c. I don't get caught up in all the C rating hype

6500mah's
The 6500mah's will definitely be a good thing.
The heavier car might benefit you initially [if you are a new driver], then later if you want to shave some weight off and are able to adjust your set-up accordingly you should find faster laps. I have run 2x race meets with 4100mah on medium loose track with lots of bad driving [wheel spin] 10mins and had plenty of capacity, my car weighs 3500gms rtr. Next I would like to try the tekin t8i 1900 to try and tame the power and drop some more weight. Make sure you check out plenty of recent set-up sheets for your build - it seems that these cars like to have fairly heavy diff oils. Cheers.

Hi guy's, i know this isn't an RTR thread but hopefully you can help me out.
Buying the 811Be RTR as a starter to see if i like 1/8 offroad and don't want to spend a fortune on upgrading. Will splash out on a new kit later if i like it. Was looking at the 2.0 basic upgrade kit, #600643. Will i notice a handling difference with just the wider rear 2.0 arms? Also i currently have 6500mah SMC batteries which i use for 1/10 TC. They weigh 612grams/2 packs, will shorties that weigh 418grams/2 packs make that much of a difference to handling? Will the 4400mah batteries get through a 10min run and still have about 20% left? I am not a fan of running lipo's down to the limit. Thanks in advance. |

I run 2 Turnigy 6600 65C batteries, with my moderate esc settings (can't remember them off the top of my head) I can run any 10-12 minute main with battery to spare. I may not be one of the fast guys, but I survive my mains.
