4000kv pro4 geared at 16/62......... Temps are never over 165......
15/62 was nuts for me, I was over jumping everything and screaming down the straights. I was running on an 1/8 scale track and seemed to be one of the few SCT's that could make the big double (short double to ramp + tabletop) clean each time even. |
Raced saturday, truck was on rails. BUT, One of the pins in the DOGBONE not the CVD came out... Dunno if I'm just a rare case with that but keep an eye on it. I just put shrink wrap around the out drives to keep it from happening again. The diff does still come apart fine.

I run on a small tight indoor clay track, to me the 4600 was overkill for where I race at. Shoot even the 4000kv is a monster at my track lol...........

Good Idea, but I wonder if you could have gotten one of the ends off using some acetone. Then you could clip one end off right at the end cap, then soak it until the CA unbonds, clean it up then cut the other end of the shaft to size and cap it there instead of having to epoxy which I don't think will hold up very long.
I've tried to fix carbon landing gear before using epoxy but they always snapped off, but would get me though one landing or so (better to crash land than to not fly in my opinion) not worth undoing what you've already got as it's not really a problem if it breaks, but might be good to add a zip tie around the belt gard so if it does break the sticks won't come out and act like pole vault  |

What Speedo are you guys running with the 4000? Not sure if my LRP TC2 can run that low of a turn.
Great motor esc combo for this truck. |

here are your answers The Losi has no mods really, just needed stronger metal or replacement parts. If Losi decides to use better metal, nothing changes. This AE requires mods to be somewhat competitive (ahem, modifications). Changes to the vehicle to make it perform better and I think you try to peddle some, hmmmm. His products work PERIOD. This shows your ignorance. AE has the most championships but they have Always had the best drivers. The best drivers drive what they want, so what does that tell you. They choose AE Very smart! It is the driver. The Ryan's could beat us with coyote's New Brite:lol: Sad but true. My 8.2 can win out of the box. No "mods" required and the only "personalization" is with my paint.:DAhhhh it is the Factory Team model, fully hopped up, dork:p I had an RC8e, and it need alot of help With any forum, I troll to learn and educate. You seem to "troll" to make a profit but kudos to you. I really applaud that but I see how you and others take offense and it hurts your biz. I apologize for that. I will bow out now an let you flame me some more but like I said, time is on my side with this truck.. |

Just got a Pro4 4000kv paired with an RX8.
Will use 14/62 gearing. I asked on the Pro4 thread and got some positive feedbacks. I wanted to get some feedback from you guys on RX8 settings. I plan on using TP1 which has 10% timing and 5443-20016 RPM. Should 29600 be the end RPM (4000kv x 7.4v)? Will start with Current Limiter-76 and Brake Strengh-70. |

I will bow out now an let you flame me some more but like I said, time is on my side with this truck.. The reality here is you want to win and the only effort you must dispense is unwrapping the Box. Well have fun with that because frankly, you're an idiot. This truck is a very well built, very thought out truck, almost a little too much, fixing what wasn't broken. However. It still wins. And alot. Your "Ryans" argument is so completely void, it's hilarious. There isn't a single one of your opinions that's validated anywhere but for some Bohdi cause. The b4.1 needs a longer chassis to compete with those 22's. They've since released three different lengths. Is that stock b4.1 a basher now without the FT mods? Get over yourself. You speak to us to read your entire post? Try reading ANYONE else's and you can obviously see that you are just a terrible driver and kids are more capable with this tuned, modified (to the racer who drives it) Race truck than you are. I'm glad you've moved on. Keep driving your 8th scale. Stay the fuck out of my Class. Bottom line: Get the fuck out of our thread or let your son start posting. I'm sure he'll have better input for this Great Truck than you ever will. Sorry Everyone. Edit: For the record: Your B4.2 is 2 years? of R&D in the hands of thousands of drivers. Along with 45% FT Parts. Your comparison has so much fail on it... It's sickening. This is an Opinion of a Newbrite? Driver. |
