the chassis has to much flex in it. so when ppl make a nose landing, the beltcover is beeing pushed to the rightside, pushing the belt of the front pully.
my buddy made a little l-shaped carbon brace ( no pics sofar, sorry )preventing the beltcover from beeing pushed to the rightside when making a heavy nose landing. he has now no more problems with the belt coming of with hard landings.. |
since when do we need an excuse to buy something new to try????:D

Cleaned and greased with WD40. Still sqweeking.
Shall I use black grease instead? Thanks! WD40, for the record, is not a lubricant. It displaces moisture. Water Displacement formula 40. Developed during WW2. White Lightning is great for dry conditions. Just have to Watch out for build up. |

Anyway, tried black grease as Botwoon suggested. Zero sqweeking. Runs like a charm. Thanks!! |

The stock X-rings work fine IF you shave just a hair off the spacer in the cartridge, no need to go and buy others.
Two trackstar O rings have less sticksion than one X ring. Either way, they are just service parts. |

I will say stockers plainly work.

If you want less sticksion polish your pistons drill hole in cap larger and don't tighten cap all the way down. oh and modify your springs because they stick on the shock body. lol Just changin o-rings does very little with all those other problems so the whole sticksion argument is null |

There is so much drag in these shocks with the stock pistons and cartridge cap it doesn't matter how much sticksion a o-ring has.

Does anyone remember what page the chassis braces were posted on?
