38mm... That is too high indeed, you'll need to modify the chassis brace (aka dremel it down) to fit the pack... I've tried my best, and I can't fit more than 32mm in there. The battery hits the belt cover :/
Another option is remove the cover, fit the battery, put on the cover, and charge the pack with it mounted on the car. Don't bother with the battery holding strap. With the foams properly installed the battery locks itself on the slot, needing no additional support. I don't even run the strap locker. Will have to wait and see when I'm done building the truck when I get it. Thank you again for your input. :D |

Thanks guys. Using the tip from Pede, I was able to grind down the overlapping part of the spring enough for it to sit level and work as it should. Nice.
Someone should add "squaring off" the springs to the first page. 3 of my 4 rubbed. Thanks again y'all... |

Hoping someone can post the Lipo battery and ESC area dimensions (LxWxH -stock config) in mm on the SC10 4x4 whenever possible. Need to know if the lipo hardcase and 1/8 ESC I just purchased will fit.
Thanks for the quick response. :) |

Thank you. Really appreciate it. I won't have issues installing a SP SA Ver2.0 1/8 esc, it will be the battery I purchased (GENS ACE 5000mah 3S1P 11.1V 40C hard case Lipo; Size: 138L * 46.5W * 38.9H mm). Can' t run a 2 cell lipo with the esc, thus the reason for 3 cell (4 cell definitely out of it.

All you have to do is flip the layout. put the rec,esc under the belt drive and battery in the open area.

don't know of any tracks that will let you run 3s on a race day. I know roar and rcpro both have the 2s limit and most club racing does too.

Made myself a new chassis brace to eliminate the bow affect that plagues the belt dive. I used 2 aluminum stand offs bolted to the chassis so the brace is still free to allow cross twisting of the chassis and not affect the handling. It just stops the dreaded lawn dart bowing affect.

I have been running 58/17 with a D3 550 6.5. Needs a little more for long staights but its money for the infield. Temps are good. Just beep a eye on them.

Nice ..... |
So I found out tonight that I have to check my slipper nut after every race. I run on a high bite clay track & was running a variation of cavs setup, 27.5 with yellow springs in the rear. We have a quad where most of us triple-single & in my 1st qualifier I noticed I couldn't clear them like I had been doing in practice. Then I checked my slipper & sure enough the nut had backed off to being flush. I normally run it tightened down 2 threads with a clutch basket. Moral of the story is check your car after every race instead of leaving it in your pit & jaw jacking with the buddies! I qualified 6th :( but finished 2nd .

What springs are those on there? What were your temps running the 14T pinion?
I haven't temped it yet and won't be able to until next Sunday when I get to race again. |

Having the two heaviest components on the same side=bad. The truck ends with a side weight of 150g/800g (assuming a 550 can and a 450g battery are used). You need to add ridiculous amounts of ballast to balance it out. |

Finally Finished- untested

Finally finished it- flotek body - clutch basket, sway bars. I really enjoyed the build-the most difficult part was containing my excitement and not rushing it. I finished it only to find that my track Atlanta Rc supercross closed up-
