I wonder if a tc4 like transformation will take place with the ft version...

can the new JConcepts +3mm wheels be used on the 2wd SC10 with the 12mm conversion and still be within the width rules?

since im running the front clicker, im most likely going to put my own rubber pad for the inside disk to lock out that slipper and then run two HT pads inside the basket for more consistency. my setup is becoming more and more like a touring car. im seriously looking to almost lockout the front diff. 60 k is not enough.

looks like they will be making both sizes. also info on their facebook page.

No date though.
We are making both sizes, 3 and 5mm shafts. 3mm is going to be 2wd focuses, however with a reducer will work with like other 3mm motors. But the 5mm option will be there, just different KV ratings.

I have the only working prototype ESC and motor, we are shipping testers in 2-3 weeks to our test crew around the US.

I have been testing in the SC104wd and Losi SCTe, its worked flawless in both.

Here is the 5200kv version R52

And the 4500kv version R45

Those motors look great, can we get a time frame on their release and maybe a price range

Do you have any kind of ETA on the 550 sensored 4 poles motors? Trying to figure out if I should dump the tekin 4600 I ordered. Dont think I need to loose any more weight on my sc10.

Anyone had a ESC catch on fire? My novak did on sat for no apparent reason. Ran maybe 2 min, truck flipped and i walked over and grabbed it, smelled hot electronics so i turned it off. Got to my bench and pulled the body off, everything looked normal. Turned it back on, took 2 seconds and poof blew up literally in my face. 6-8" flame shot out of the esc where the wires are. The cap melted off and the heat sink got so hot it melted down through the plastic it mounts on. Not very impressed for 239+ tax. Put my traxxas vxl setup back in and ill be sticking with that.
Im sure novak will take care of it, but still. That could of burned up the truck in a heart beat. Luckily the body was off, and my lipo was fine.

The novak esc's have been known to catch fire, I think it was an issue with their internal cap or something....... Trust me your def. not the first one and sad to say probably not the last one it'll happen to...... Good thing it didn't happen when you were away and in your garage like it did another user a few months back.......... Which is why I will never use novak items, I'll stick with tekin or speed passion etc.........

If all goes well with testing we are aiming for mid/end of November. The ball park price for the sensorless setup with the Copperhead ESC (ProGauge compatible) is going to be around $150 for the 550's, less if you want the 540's. Yes that is $150 for the whole system.

You will hear lots of feedback from testing since I am selecting the test members from RCT and RCSC.

I'd be more then willing to test one of the 540's for you on my 2wd sc10 or sc10 4x4 ;-) , and I'd give a honest, unbiased, unpaid review....

Likewise! lets see how it handles the 100+ ambient temps in Houston.
150$ sounds like a killer deal. Im wondering about the 540 4pole sensored motor and esc???
