Aha, but it's the opposite.

"I" is a pronoun that one can use for nobody but themselves. ThunderbirdJunkie is not so self-important that he requires use of self-specific pronouns to refer to himself ;)

Dude... just don't talk about yourself in the 3rdthird person. It makes you sound like an idiot. And using your usename in all of your posts is not being "self-important"? Dude... just stop making posts here... please...

At my track, if you aren't racing, you are marshalling....2-5 minutes between races, then a 20 minute break between rounds...

After I race, I have to run, get my truck off the track, get the old battery on the charger, get back out on the race track to marshal.... then once the round is done, I have 20 minutes to get my truck ready for the next round...sorry, not enough time to check camber, ride height, clean the truck, AND change a diff...assuming you have one pre-built with different oil...

I did me 5-10 minute, my phone is being retarded. I marshall when its my time to marshall. I normally have about 2 hours inbetween my races so I have plenty of time. Maybe im doing it a different way than you guys...

T-birdjunkie is more than welcome here. He's been more than helpful with information and helps out where ever he can. Just because you find his 3rd person thing "annoying" doesn't mean you can tell him to stay away.

LMFAO, I contribute more then you could ever dream to, You see, i help people outside of the interwebnet world you live in.

Doesnt change the fact that you come off as a complete toolbag with the way you type, and portray yourself online.

Im betting you live in your mothers basement, and you've never experienced a woman

How about this.....? We stay on topic.

You want to bitch about someone PM them rather than whip out your keyboard balls.

I never said his posts aren't helpful, they are annoying is what I said. He thinks he is smarter and more important and the only one who matters around here which isn't the point of the forum. The point of the forum is to help.

Matt Howard 07-26-2011 02:56 PM

or maybe he's just having fun?

Want to know what is ironic? Most people who say this stuff are the same people who do live in moms basement.

One problem Im having is rolling over in corners/top heavy/traxxas type feeling. Should I adjust roll center by adding washers under the balls? Anyone know of a way to stop this from happening?

Another problem is when I overshoot a jump and the truck lands in the flat it wants to flip over. Anyone know of any fixes for this situation that wont mess with my setup too much?

What tires are you running? I run gold barcode 2.0's and it never traction rolls, my buddy runs M4 subcultures 2.0's and it traction rolls all the time. I think his are called subcultures, they look identical to barcodes. The thing I noticed is the molded stock foams in his tires feel abot half as soft.
I prefer the barcodes. He can't hang with me so like always the right tire for the track is crucial! My setup is all stock except for shocks mounted wide on the arms.

Lower your roll center. Add some static camber. Ride height is....???

Hey guys I'm new here but not to r/c. I just picked this truck up new at the lhs. Good build. I have a question about the diff/ diff fluid. It comes pre built and I saw the warnings on page 1 about some coming without enough fluid from the factory. I cracked mine open to check it out and there definitely was fluid in the case. Here are my questions

Can you use too much diff fluid?

Can you wreck th diff if you mix two types of fluid ? Ie. I'm not sue what the factory used and I want to top it off.

Thanks

Eric

Fill the diffs to the top of cross-pins. I believe the kit comes with 3000 but I recommend starting with 5k in the rear and 30k-50k for the front. You can mix oils but I would only do that within the same brand.

Sounds like a great idea........ and keep it clean.

JEFFs SC10 07-26-2011 03:57 PM

Eric you'll want to open up the diffs, there are 4 screws. the factory hardly puts any fluid at all.

You'll want to put enough fluid until the pins in the middle are just covered in the middle.

Most people are running 30k weight fluid in the front and 3-5k fluid in the rear.

The thicker weight kinda calms the front end down and allows the front wheels to pull you out of corners better.

Couldn't agree more, T-bird has always been helpful to me and someone I would consider a friend.
