SC10 4x4 Thread
The SC10 4x4 is a very fine truck. I still have mine after buying the Tekno. Out of respect for this thread I won't get into the strengths of one over the other here, however, many of the Tekno owners had or have the SC10 and would likely give you an honest, informed response on their thread.

WOW, all i asked for was an opinion on 2 vehicles and now there an all out war on the forum. I would hate to see what goes on the track. LOL
Now since i really never got my answer, lets try this again. Now I'm looking at getting the discontinued team kit @ $249.00. Now the factory team kit has the upgraded parts on it @ $349.00. Now my question is there that much difference between the team kit and the factory team kit with exception to the aluminum parts, turnbuckles and slipper. Nuf said
Thanks again

If your going to get the sc10 4x, get the factory team kit. It is worth the money and you will end up adding those extras later at a higher cost anyway.
There's no war, but if you ask that question on just about any thread you will hear that threads kit is the best and arguments will begin.

I'm pretty sure the original truck kit was called the team kit, now I think the team kit comes ready to run. That might have been the confusion. But definatley get the FT kit because the newer shocks will cost about $100 to buy separately etc...

The only differing suggestion I would have from others is if you have looking to buy a team kit at a discount and they include the upgrade pack that adds the chassis brace, slipper, saddle pack assembly, and the sway bar kits front and rear, personally I would go for that as the rest of the stuff I felt was bling.
And with either truck, once you buy, call AE and advise them you need th 0.5mm shims for the diffs. DON'T build your truck without it and don't count on it being in the box with either kit. AE will most likely send you them out without having you wait for it.
