You don't want to ride on your balls. Sitting on them hurts bad enough.

Stick pack runs very smiliar to saddles except the trucks balance is not as good & steers a little less .
Thanks. I've been looking into getting some shorties. But why is there only 4600mAh and no bigger. Also what would I need to convert to shorty packs. To hold down the battery.

M03

Can use the team saddle pack tray and run the shorty centered on the chassis .
Just place foam blocks on each side of the shorty to help secure ...

Already using stick packs ?

Mount the shorty all the way forward in tray & place foam blocks behind the battery to help secure .

I have been running a shorty up front since March and with the shorty the balance is so much better. Like many, I tried to make my SC10 4x4 something it was not. I added a bunch of weight, Exotek chassis, lead weight, saddles, etc. Tried to make it into a Losi/Tekno but I found it didn't work as well as the other trucks. I tested an AE Prolite and was impressed with how light it was (but it did not have the same build quality as the SC10 4x4). I then looked at my SC10 4x4 and decided to go the other direction and make it as light as possible. Using a shorty pack would save a ton of weight and it is really an easy modification, I took the stock stick pack battery bracket and basically turned it 90 degrees, drilled one extra hole to hold it in the new location. For a hold down I used the stock holes where the nerf bars attach (front holes) I threaded a M3 set screw into the hole and use some thumbscrews to hold a battery strap down. My strap is carbon fiber but I could have easily used a piece of plastic or aluminum. My SC10 4x4 weights in at 5lbs 5.4oz with a shorty pack and some other mods. Before the shorty mod and the cDiff ny SC10 4x4 just sat on the shelve, and my Durango and Tekno got all the track time. Now I only run the SC10 4x4, the Durango is gone and the Tekno is my backup.

Shorty pack mounted in my SC10 4x4.

I used a scrap piece of CF for a battery hold down.

Two thumbscrews hold the strap down.

5lbs 5.4oz (includes 28grams of lead weight up front) This picture shows it with a VTS slipper that I was testing. I have been using the RCShox cDiff since the middle of 2012 and it is far superior to anything else I have come across (clutch basket, Pinned slipper, VTS).

Yeah I got the AE ProLite also and fund it to be good but not as good as the SC10 4x4 since its an entry level truck. I will not be able to run my SC10 4x4 this year but I wanna have it set up for next years season. I will finish the season with my back up truck a Team C TS4.

out of stock from RC Shox I take it.

You could try the boards, I see them pop up once in a while, sometimes with a vehicle for a good price.

Marcus has probably sold out with all of the advertising WC has done for him over the past few days

He may just be waiting on spurs to machine or something like that. Contact him on the RcShox thread here on RcTech or through his site and ask when they are expected to be back in stock.
