Conditions for the track I was on Sun. were, very large track with alot of wind and dry, there are several fast sections that I did not have enough speed for, (going to go up to a 15T pinion 62T spur Iwas running a 14T pinion w/62T spur, Ballistic 4.5) track was a little loose almost loomy in places. 1st place winner and myself 2nd were both running HB Megagrids that were working great. I have my rear links with the 8mm mod using inside hole @ the hub and inside hole @the tower w/ 7mm spacers. The truck was slow reacting using the outer hole @ the hub. No LHS had the shorter turnbuckles for me to use the outer hole @ the tower, had to cut the ends off the rears to use the inner hole @the hub. By putting a little more preload on the front shocks and no weight by the servo the truck quit digging in so much in the front and keeps it from traction rolling.

Under braking, could be the front clicker(most guys lock it down), or the belt skipping(which is pretty common with this trucks belt drive).

If your track is small to medium size and tight/technical, 5.5T could be great, but for large tracks you may want to consider going up a bit in Kv on your motor or turning up motor (or even better, dynamic speedo) timing for the straight(s). I'm sure you don't need me to warn you to keep an eye on temps. Generally you should never let a 2wd buggy pass you. Proper track etiquitte is to swerve wildly to discourage any attempted pass. If the buggy driver still insists on passing, let them get ahead and then plow into their rear on the next corner. |

Most people going with a 550 can are running 4.5T motors. Assuming you are using 32 pitch gears and you are running 62/14, you are geared more for a 4.5T motor. In short, I think you need to go up a few a couple teeth in your pinion. But I would search this thread for successful gearing for this motor size and Kv range.

My B4's wheel will be your reward each time after if you insist on trying to order take out .... ..;) |

Not to mention fueling more bad for the Sc class.
More better to show respect & set a good example instead of a bad one .... |
