Also how can i tell if i have the updated belt cover before i buy another? What am I working with?
not sure of the rtr/// but if your shock are blue and you only have one pad on the outer slipper/no chassis brace. you have the non FT

Must be a non FT with minor upgrades. Has two pads because I just installed them new but blue shock bodies. Thanks I don't know how I missed the color shocks. Was on amain comparing pics and didnt notice.

Do you guys recommend I get the updated vts system or high torque pads? I'm using the ballistic 4.5 with mmp. I'm not racing it. Its just for track fun during down time.

The VTS has been proving itself with results like last week ends Sc Show Down Tour in Tacoma .
I highly recommend using .
Use the HD pad behind the spur gear and the VTS basket & pads ..

Brings more traction , less wheel spin ....

When you say center diff you mean the vts correct? Sorry I'm still learning the truck so I'm lost with some things. When you say center I picture the center diffs on my 8 scale stuff. Didnt know my truck had a center diff so yeah newbie in this class.

But thanks all for answering my questions. I've been around with different cars and sometimes guys just point or say read back to day one which I'm doing but thanks

he is talking about the RC Shox Center Diff. Excellent item. Its a ball diff that has pins you can insert behind the balls (or to the side depending on how you view it) that you can adjust the diff action. in general 4 pins is where you start, I liked 8 pins on carpet, excellent diff action still be loads of power.

Looking to go outdoor racing with the 4x4. Looking at the LRP 4.5t and the Reedy 4.0. Racing on mostly hardpack, some clay. Local racers using anywhere between the 4.0t and a 5.5t. Should I go with the HP of the 4.0t or the 4.5t. Coming from a RTR setup that has been upgraded with the FT kit and sway bars. I have run mostly indoors where HP does not really come into play. Thoughts?

The Sonic 550 4.5 will have plenty of speed and will be smoother then a 4.0....

A lot of the faster racers around my area use the Reedy 550

Got a quick question!

Running a sc10 4x4 on a indoor track clay. What would you recommend for esc/motor combo along with lipo. I got a old Vector X11 8.5t with a Sxx V2 tc sitting around would that be good to get her rolling?

Thanks-

The ESC is great , make sure to use the fan and it will come in kool .

The 8.5 will work but will be slow , suggest more power .
