To me two of the Trackstar orings feels better than just one of the stock x rings and you don't need to trim anything.

Nothing wrong with , don't think there's any less stick though .

Trim method is easy & free...

I am going to give this a try. How do you make up the 3/4 of an inch difference in spring length though?

Add your travel limiters between the spring bucket and the eyelet, raising the bucket. You can set ride height okay without the spacers, but the spring will "fall out"of the bucket where you get maximum droop.

You need 6 to 8 mm of uptravel limiters to keep from roaching the outdrives anyway.

I was worried about the spring rate and rear travel being all jacked up from the shorter spring.

I talked to a few of my AE pro driver friends, none of them are doing the "fronts in the rear" thing. At least none that I talked to.

The majority are running yellows F/R.

The pro Drivers Can Dr. the wheels off of anything I have a friend that I let him drive my car with one set up and he was faster than I was two seconds faster with the other set up

While I see what you are saying, that wasn't my point.

My point is this: most of these pro guys are so closely matched they are looking for every tiny little thing to eek out a few tenths. In that regard they will always do what's absolutely the fastest setup regardless of how common or uncommonit is.

So I wouldn't go assuming because they can drive anything they'll be rolling with an inferior setup. ;)

My point is that some set up to work better for one guy has word for the other it doesn't work as good

SC Shaun 10-15-2012 06:33 PM

...what?

Hey car that is forgiving is a good car for a newer nonexperienced guy as wear something that is very edgy can be fast for someone with more experience

Well of course, by all means drives what suits you and your style best.

I'm just saying don't assume someone else's "money" setup will be as good for you as it is for them.

I just drive what works for me. I personally have had no problems with the f/r yellow springs that I've been running for a long time now. But that suits me and the tracks I drive on.

The moral of the story is everyone uses what they use for a different reason. Experiment and find what works for you.

Well, I, too am running yellows F/R. I got the handling down, but I'm not 100% happy with the way the truck is jumping still. I want to give a siffer rear end a try.

Instead of the Fronts in the rear, I am thinking of just trying the red rear spring. That is the next (and last) step up in stiffness from the yellow rear, with a spring rate just a little lower than the front yellow.

I would accomodate it by increasing my shock oil by 5, effectively making it 35 front and 35 rear.

Don't know if this will work or not. Anyone have anything similar to this?

Make sure what you're looking isn't more pack/dampening instead of a stiffer spring rate and more/faster rebound.

I prefer the 4600kv motors myself, I have not run the pro4, but I do run the tenshock 4600kv. Had a 2 pole 4600 before my current one also.

So I'd say 4700
