Where did I ever say I have a problem with the truck?

I actually enjoy my Sc104x4 and want AE to put more effort into running it competitively versus being second class citizen (for whatever reason) compared to other classes. I think it has the chops, just needs more attention.

What I am stating however about what would happen unfortunately has a glimmer of likelihood of happening. Stating that doesn't change my feelings that I like my SC104x4. Considering how often I do change vehicles, the fact that I re-bought one and still have it says a lot.

As for issues it has outdoors, post pics of your track and state its conditions. Hell, give us your setup.

Guys like MantisWorx have reported issues on specific conditions that probably were not factored in to the design of the vehicle, and he is no scrub. Are those the conditions you are running in? If not, saying its "on rails" means little if its not the conditions you run in.

My other vehicle is on rails too, though, its setup would mean little on your track as its a train.

I dont think that AE will make a 8.2b conversion for sc4x4. MIP likes to do that sort of thing if it is now legit. I might expect them to make a conversion.

Cain 08-09-2012 09:36 AM

heck, wonder if RPM could.

Wildcat1971 08-09-2012 09:43 AM

Well, they mainly deal with plastics. Not really sure they would make a chassis. But the towers, arms and bumpers, probably.

Cain 08-09-2012 10:17 AM

based on what I am seeing from some of the conversions, they pretty much are using the RC8 chassis and then bolting on the sct specific stuff. Regardless though, probably a market for it.

Maybe Tekno

I noticed that issue when I was running the truck initially with the softer rear springs back when I first got it, and I noticed it when I had the heavier Blue fronts. When I changed to white fronts on the rear, she jumped nose level to nose slightly nose down which for the large jump I was clearing worked great.

How I approached the jump mattered too, if I was just coasting at speed and hit it, it would go tail high.

Got in my M2C toe in blocks as well as some new tires to try. Will report on how it goes, may head out to a close by unfinished track and see.

Truck loves money going into it, but, its a blast to drive LOL.

i changed to the MIP bypass valve system but im still using the blue and yellow "stock" springs.

I dont think AE is going to do anything at all with the truck, Their team drivers win with it at will. In their eyes changing to a completely different layout for 1 or two specific situations doesnt make money sense. they will simply leave it to the aftermarket companies to improve what they have. I am starting to see alot of Losi owners switch back to the lighter more efficient trucks that are simply built better (AE,Durango and now TeamC). AE has been around for a long time......Smart company they know exactly what they are doing!

Have to admit though, even companies that have been around for a long time can drop the ball sometimes: Losi Strike anyone?

How did you like the additional toe in from the m2c? Did you get to the track to try it out?

ryanpatrickgore 08-09-2012 11:35 AM

One thing I have learn about Ae all these years ..'
They really care & they will not stop improving the Sc10 4x4 .

Expect even more running changes , new parts & set-up advise that help keep the Ae in the ft row and fun to drive...

I may see about going to the closest "track" this weekend for a bit. Its an unfinished track but the conditions when dry appear similar. Initial impressions, great quality.

I hope so, the SC104x4 is probably one of my favorite vehicles right now.

I understand why you feel as I do , some can not and switch to so called better .

Always laughing later when they still get beat by a Ae .....:D

Yeah, I have driven my friends scte and it was definitely more stable in the fast sections and in the air, but I could not get it to turn in nearly as sharp as the AE.
I felt very lazy entering a turn. Tried more front toe out, helped a little but no matter what I tweaked I could not get it to tun in like the AE.
