Dude have you read any of this thread? Most go with saddles.

(It just gets old and 75% of what he says is not correct. I dont post much on here anymore because of him either, completely drained me of my desire to create more parts for this truck. Its one thing to give good or even bad advice but bashing every non AE part is immature at best especially when he has never even tried any of it.)

I hate to see any of you give up on this truck, especially you Marcus, letting someone on here discourage you from having fun isn't what this about, like I said take it for what it's worth, he's just drinking the AE cool-aid:lol:, allot of it:weird:, I still think this truck has allot of potential, this thread is half the reason I bought the thing, I really enjoy reading all of this and all the ideas floating around, I really like the v2 diff and v1 dual stage pistons, the v1 was great and the v2 is even better, I still think the best is yet to come, so what I'm saying is DON'T GIVE UP!, have fun and keep working on it.:)

Well, I might be keeping my truck. saddles and the chassis brace were upgrades I never did. I know the saddles move the weight up and help the balance. And the chassis stiffener, well stiffen the chassis and help with belt skipping. So before i spend more money on a truck no one wants to buy, lol. What would I really feel or gain on the track with these upgrades? The fast guy at my local track runs a stick pack and the brace. I dont really own saddle packs, so it would be a pain to get that for a truck that is marginally liked by me. I want to make the truck work, but putting another $100 into it does not makes sense. With the upgrade kit and esc these are selling for $150 on ebay. They just dont hold value at all. Quite a few rollers for for $120 or less these days. I know this hobby bleeds funds, but from $300+ to $120 in 3 weeks is pretty harsh.

Well I've spent a lot on this truck and done a lot of mods, it feels good now and I hold my own with the other trucks here, I just need driving time with it now, the MIP shock pistons work great, the class seems to be dropping off tho so not doing much more to it, just drive it, the Losi's here seem to be breaking often now, and there's so few trucks running once one or two break the class is canned for the day. I still wish I had bought the Losi a year ago tho, the guys that come on here saying " just bought a FT, what upgrades do I need" IMHO if you looked into what you bought first you would have bought something, else.

Wildcat1971 08-26-2012 08:14 PM

true. the class is still good here. about 8 entries per night. I might just get the brace and run it. Need to find a good deal on some gridirons too, since what appears to be the tire.

Thanx for your support it really means alot! The truck does have potential but when you have the village idiot constantly putting my products down and blatantly lying about it it just burns me out and is no longer "FUN"! I have many other projects to work on so when i am sitting at my desk drawing up designs for other cars and trucks i would be lying if I am excited about the SC10 and i can honestly say that it is because of him! The thing about RCShox is that it is ME!! You are not dealing with a rep or someone that gets paid to kiss ass, so i take his blundering personal. The parts i create are made for me first and you guys later so when tweedle dumb says something doesnt work its like a slap in the face or he is accusing me of lying when obviously I am not. But I do have some other things coming within the next few months for the truck, they are simple things that even the nay-sayers will have!!
YOU CANT DROWN A SHARK..........:flaming:

I'm going to go back to stock pistons till I can pick up some of your V2s. Thanks for your support of the truck, marcus.

K, been reading a bit and have 2 Qs. I bought a house and coin is tight. Anyone have a step by step on a cheap centered stick mod? And a home made chassis brace? Thanks guys, tired of getting whooped by a Losi.

im working on making a replacement since my one from FL cracked. so i just need the carbon/graphite rod.

im using all the FL hardware (screws & spacers - spacers of which could be made from computer standoffs to remain more stiff or even just use washers)

i had some old golf clubs that i have replaced and that have little to no value, graphite of course, that im cutting down to size, and going to use a 4-40 tap/drill bit so maybe it will be extra secure where it goes into the 'brace ends' [which are basically rc8 shock ends]

so parts needed to make your own is still pretty costly, buying the AE brace + rear tower is very cost effective.

$5 Heavy Duty Shock Ends
$2 Thrift Store Golf Club
$2 Screws [4-40 1/2", 3/4"]
$2 4-40 Threaded Rod
$2 CPU Standoffs

just agreeing with Jakes suggestions , way less expensive to use the factory parts available already ...

The Team upgrade kit (#91174) pack's a lot of value for the money..
