Put that sucker on ebay and you'll get more for it....

Evil Genius jr. 06-14-2012 11:22 AM

I should, I just don't want to deal with ebay.

Which esc are you using? What C rating are you using for the pack? I read that motor has a decent amp draw. What about the 401? Its sensorless yeah, but does it cog bad? I have fried a few sensors in my 4x4 /sadface

Running an MMP with 65-130c nanotechs. Cool running and no issues after 30+ packs. A friend has the 401 and its not as smooth starting out but good once rolling. If your on a budget the 401 works well. The 411 is a little better.

My last motor was the sc4x 4.5. Great motor.
Replaced with a tenshock 411 4600kv motor and its in a whole other leauge. A lot more bottom end a little more top end. Both motors with a 13t pinion.
Runs cooler.
I thought the sc4x was a fast motor till I ran the 550 can 4 pole... I was impressed.

I have not run the pro4, I'm sure its a great motor but it costs 30% more and it's a 540 can. My $ went to the German motor.

What German motor?

I would hope that you are not suggesting that Chinas manufacturing standards and QC is on par with German manufacturers.

Did you see that Top Gear lately (love that show) where the guys went to China and drove the new Chinese cars?
If you did, would you really take the QQ car over say a Carrera or an M3? :D

I would say not the same difference for any product that comes out of those countries. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some die hard German car fan boy... I drive a 500 HP Subaru that costs a fraction of the cost of an M3.
But I will take a German or Japanese product any day over something from China.

Also, to note, I run tekin products and am happy with them. I did not mention China, just that tenshock is a German company and their kick a** motor is only $90.
