HAHAH I used them to get those camber/steering links on. Couldn't get them on with my fingers.

I thought the U and O pulleys were adjustments for handling and steering?...

I mean I do plan to try them out but I thought adjusting the belt tensioners higher would ease up on the load put on the 540 motor

Default Belt tension settings

Another 4x4 newb question, everywhere I search for belt settings just says follow the manual for tensioner placement, make sure it feels right, etc. I just wonder if there is some definitive measurement or guide to know if a belt is tight or loose?

The losi 8ight shocks that will fit are they the buggy or the truggy shocks or are they all the same? I hate the stock shocks maybe theyd be better with different springs but of course those are available yet. If your using the losi shocks what springs, oil, and pistons are you using? Thanks all replys are much appreciated.

I used the buggy shocks. Short fronts and long rears. And they're the "race" shocks that have the aluminum tops, not the plastic ones. Medium pistons, I don't remember what weight oil I filled them with. I think 40front and 30rear. But that will all depend on your local track.

I have the belt set level, if that makes any sense. Seems a little loose but when its at high rpm you want some flexion.

I have the tensioners adjusted all the way down. I may adjust the rear one to midway just to make sure there's enough.

I can push both sides of the belt and hit the middle part easy, and pull the upper part of the belt a few millimeters past the belt cover if that makes any sense.

I'm probably making something out of nothing, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I figure a 550 5.5 has to stretch the belt a bit.

3rd track day with it. More impressed than before. MMP/3800 combo at 20/93, was at 140 after a 20 min practice battery. as fast as anything on the straight, still stupid acceleration in the tight stuff. 35/30 shocks, 50k/5k diffs. heavy swaybar from a b4 (still too light for the 4x, just seeing what it'd do) on the front. DD's front, Barcodes rear, on a high traction clay track. Here's my super highlight....40 ft straight turns right into a 20 ft sweeper, then 90 degree right into stepdowns. i was behind 4 other 4xs, ofnas and slashes, on the straight, and was right on the a$$ of the last guy going into the sweeper. they all drifted high, i was able to carve inside and get up to 2nd in just the sweeper alone. Then passed the 1st car into the step downs, and away i went. i'm no pro, and the others were a mix too, but it was a sweet, clean pass on 4 cars in a turn and a half. THIS THING HAULS!!!

Put this truck on the track tonight and lets be honest. It's a nice truck, but Associated did us all a disservice by neither including sway bars OR at least offering them.

Driving it on a track for the first time kinda ticked me off. It's quiet, smooth, flies great, but there are corners on every off road track that I know of. This thing (even with the "no bars" set up posted this week) goes around a corner much like a fishing boat caught in a gale.

Come on Asc., Throw those that bought these early kits a bone and make a way to provide us with what should be part of the kit AND please start supplying them WITH the kits.

Being probably THE nicest, easiest to build and a wonder of engineering...You dropped the ball big time with the sways.

Have to be at the track at 8am and wanted to try thicker diff fluid in the front to see what the talk is all about. I wanted to try 30k but I ended up using a 50k and 10k mix (all I had close). It sometimes frowned upon to mix but this will give me more tuning time since it is already changed
