Oh yeah, I guess that is figuring in the rubber bumper on the shaft. I run a 1mm & 2mm clip under the rubber bumper.
I guess that rubber bumper thing must be 5mm?

Yeah, hard flat landing is not a problem. It's when you land on one wheel and push it up to full compression.

Not that I've seen. You need to limit the up travel to where under full compression the cvd nor the a arm is hitting the outdrive or you will be replacing the sun gear washer every 2 races.
Rubber bumper + 3mm of clips keeps my diffs happy.

Edit: you don't notice the limiters if you land flat, only if you land on one tire and you have other issues with your lap time if that happens because you will be squirrely on your landing anyway.

Are you limiting it too much? Do you have the boots AND 8mm of limiters installed? Without the boots, 8mm seems to be the magic number....not sure what to use with the boots.

You can either limit up-travel by putting the spacers on the shock shafts, or just let the CVD hit the out-drive....either way, your uptravel will be limited essentially the same. The difference is that one way will damage your sun gear, diff housing, your out-drive, and your CVD....and the other won't.

I set my up-travel by fully compressing the shock, then turn the wheel....if the out-drive catches on the CVD, add 1mm. keep going until the outdrive no-longer binds on the CVD. Golden.

The track is so bumpy that if I add limiters it bounces around. I will try it with the 2 stage pistons installed and see how that works.

Running 30/25 w/ 2-stage for the first time.
Have yellow/B4.3s but will try Blue/FWhite also

The two ways with 25-27.5 wt oil will help, the rebound on these is great.

You gotta limit the uptravel to preserve you sun gear washers so your stuck with that.
The 2 stagers should help with a real bumpy track because there it allows the suspension to come back down faster to deal with the next bump. Standard pistons will have your suspension higher up in the travel with less up travel ready to absorb the next bump.
Try them, I have them on all of my offroad rc's. It was a huge difference on my mugen mbx-5.
