Hey Jim, were you able to resolve this? Which savox are you using?

I already had a Spektrum cap on this truck so before I started changing out parts I thought I'd put ANOTHER Spektrum cap on it and see what it did. I had the 1st one in the aux. port of the Spektrum receiver and I put the second one in the bind plug. I ran it with an Orion 5500mah 90c saddle pack and it didn't cut out until the battery got noticeably low. I didn't run it down to LVC but it was noticeably fading away. I'm going to get some Novak #5626 caps and try one of those. They are physically bigger than the Spektrum caps so maybe one of those will do it.
My other truck has an RX8 with the Pro 4 4000 and I have had a Spektrum cap on it since the get go and it has never cut out on me.
This truck has a Novak Havoc Pro esc with XDrive and a Novak 550 4.5 motor. Both trucks have Savox 1258tg servos and Spektrum telemetry receivers.

Puffed a 60C Reedy saddle pack last time out. TCSpec V2/450 4.5. On the next run, the esc died, not sure if the 2 were related... Rough weekend!
Seriously considering the turnigys next time, since there seems to be good and bad with all of 'em... Luck of the draw?!?!

JUST CALM DOWN

Trick to do next rebuild for your Sc10 4x4 shocks

Trim .030 off the top of O-ring shock cartridge #91054.;)
I use 320 sandpaper and trim the flash off with a hobby knife.

Allows more room for X-rings , shock will come out much smoother .

Less striction then stock, no binding at all .

Increases the shocks performance, more traction...

Have used & tested with great results...:tire::nod:

I have thought about doing that. Do you still just use the one o-ring?

By now I'd say either you are way overgeared, or your ESC is defective.

You really shouldn't comment about other's "experience" you know nothing about.

I deal with gen-ace and other said splinter companies on a daily basis. I also know the ratio in which I deal with said batteries over batteries I sell and will back.

ALSO, I will not support the factories and what they do that your batteries are coming out of.

You know, I'm to the point that I realize you have the Napoleon complex.

With batteries, I'm more of a quality over quantity person.

I tried a few cheap lipos, it didn't go so well.

Only lipo I've had fail on me was a $130 Reedy stick pack. The bullet connector got so hot on the inside that it melted the casing and the solder. (I use proper "solid" bullets, not the birdcage kind, and I have another Reedy run in the same truck just as hard and just as often, and it is still good.)

All my cheapo Dynamite, Turnigy, Eurgle, and Haiyin packs are all still doing fine (though most only have 20 runs on them....the Dynamites have about 60)

If you have battery questions... this is not the thread for batteries.
If you have motor questions... this is not the thread for motors.
If you have wiring questions... this is not the thread for wiring.

What batteries fit the SC10 4x4 saddle or stick is on topic
What motor fits the SC10 4x4 is on topic.
What your wiring looks like in the SC10 4x4 is on topic.

Can we stay on SC10 4x4 topic please

Any ideas when associated is going to release the FT up-grade kit? It's on everyone's store..it just isn't available, and on that..I was going to just aftermarket the parts but I figured that associated had to do their homework on the FT stuff..so I guess my SC10 will just sit awaiting parts..

Gawd, I wish I could be a 'cool kid' too..

I thought the Hi-five part was what was funny, him dissing you didn't do anything for me.... Being cool would surely be stretching it, how about tolerable...

It's the curse of the LHS employee, I've seen it many times here locally. Something in the air at the hobby store makes these guys go from geeks to beasts, atleast in their heads...

Hey guys, have a sc10 4x4 coming next week or so. Have a servo ? for you guys. Will this work ok in the truck?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...h-Torque-Servo

I know I will need to get a solid servo/arm in so that I wont have to go through and deal with issues.

For futaba servos I like the S9351 . $10 more dollars, better specs:

I am running a JR Z9100S right now in my SC104x4. Its speed is nuts and extremely strong. Been pretty much converting all my cars over to this servo now other than sole futaba equipped one.

same price as the futaba S9351 .
