MaxAmps Race Edition 150c 6500 mah. Awesome pack... Pricey, but awesome.

I would add Front Steering-Caster Blocks #91026 to your list of extra parts if you haven’t already.
I broke the same part. Local shop has them on order. Luckily mine is still usable as it isnt as destroyed as yours.

Default Break in and (hopefully) no binding?

I just put my truck through it's first pack... ran it on the street to get minimal bounce into the suspension, just trying to work things in and find any major issues before I start abusing it on the track. Running a Tamiya 540 silver can with a 14t pinion, again, to take it easy on the truck.

I estimate the top speed around 15mph (scriptassylum tells me 17mph, but the silver can was definatley struggling to get the truck up to speed) and when I let off the throttle, the truck still coasts 50-60 feet. The ESC never got above ambient, but I attribute that to running a silver can...

I remember someone saying that if you can give the truck a gentle push, it should coast 10-15 feet, but "gentle" is so subjective....

Is a 50 foot coast with no throttle from 15mph reasonable? I am trying to keep this truck as efficient as possible....

Use the kit suggestion for the belt tensioner settings for the belt.

Doubt the belt tension & motor motor weight is the issue..

Check that ride height , check shock oil level .

Make sure drive train is free, nothing blinding..

Rest is driving technique....

Well here it is. My first race with the sc10 was at Area54 in Ohio and I qualified second and finished first and guess who the tq was??? Mister Ryan Lutz. It was so cool just being in a race with him. He is a very cool down to earth guy. I was so excited when I passed him for the lead that I couldn't believe myself, until I found out that he was having issues and had to drive half speed for half the race. He is awesome to watch drive and makes it look so easy and effortless. I did not break a single part all weekend and once I figured out how to drive it the truck was great. It's very durable. I will frame my picture with me standing on the podium (1st place) next to Ryan(2nd place) because I am sure it will never happen again but hey a win is a win

On the slipper issue if you have one that will not tighten all the way I had to add 2 thin washers after the silver thrust washer because it was not machined right. Works like a charm now.

For those searching for more knowledge. I am currently running a Tekin 4.5 w/ a Rs Pro. I added a 5800 Uf capacitor (aka novak glitch buster) to the battery side and this helped lower temps
On the uber hi traction we currently have at Raceworld Raceway (slicks/wheelies) my temps are under 160 after 8min main and 4 lights on the esc.

I did notice that the 550 motor seems to "heat soak" more and either requires a fan to cool off between rounds or lots of time.

Well, I was asking for info on the last page... Thanks for sharing...

Any know parts i should stock up on in order to hopefully avoid wasting a race day? Again, what are some advantages/disadvantages when comparing a 550 motor and a 540 motor for the kit? I run on larger outdoor tracks that accommodate both Truggy and 8th Scale buggies... Thanks guys!

Ran my SC10 4x4 yesterday for the first time... Had it set with the 19T clicker RX8 and the sc4x 550 5.5T with 5K in the front and rear diffs. The truck soaked up the whoops section great and jumped great, but I had a couple of issues that I was hoping someone here could help me with... First, the track was hard pack but very dusty so it was slick (I was running Super-soft Calibers) and in the turns the truck had a tendency to spinout... Tendency would kind of be an understatement, if I wasn't perfect it spun (is this a product of the clicker?)

Secondly, I aligned my servo (Savox SC-1256TG) during building, but as I was driving I noticed that my truck kept pulling to the right... I would adjust the trim and it would be good for a few minutes then start pulling again... In the end I had the trim set 100% to the right... Anyone had an issue like this??? If so what was the cause?

Thanks for the help,

Shane

Look at Jangs review of the MaxAmps. The $35 Gens Ace did better.

I run the Gens Ace and love them... The only issue is finding them in stock.
