It's several years old and still performs like it was new (aside from replacing the $10 fan every year or so.) In my SC104x4 the temps barely get high enough to turn the fan on....by the time I get down from the driver's stand, the fan has usually turned off. I run a "power hungry" Savox 1258 and have never had any glitching or brown outs.

I agree, never ran the RX8 but from everything I read, the only reason not to run it is cost, and fitment when running inline saddle packs, which isn't that big a deal, just need a dremel to fix.

thanks guys.. I may just try the MMP and if I have the problems. Then I'll take one of my rx8's out of one of my 8th scales.

If you think what he is asking is out of line look at this joker. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SC10-4X4-LCG...item336fba254d
and he sold 3 at that price.

I'm thinking about going back to saddle packs. 1 thing keeping me doing is I now have an rx8.

Any 1 got pics of the RX8 mounted under the belt?

Mount it on the left side, and put your RX under the belt.

agreed mine fit fine on the left, that was when I was running the stick pack.

waiting on new pics from mantis to see what it looks like mounted with the saddles.

I'd given that some thought.

I was curious as to how much of the upper case on the RX8 had to be removed.

I didn't want to disturb my double sided tape to try and test fit it.

if so how you like it and what lipo do you run

My buddy runs the RX8 and Pro4 4600 in his Losi. It is crazy fast. He has to run 65% current limiting and run no timing. I drove it and that is why I chose to go with the Pro4 4000. I felt that the 4600 would be too much in the lighter SC10 4x4. Not to say that you can't run the bigger motor but it is better suited to outdoor 8th scale tracks in my opinion.

For me the 4K version is just fine. I can dial in more or less power with timing as needed.

But in a 10 minute race, the center diff should still be consistent, where a slipper will fade, even just slightly. Maybe not a Garoslipper....but those AE slipper pads are about as consistent as a high school romance....

Hey, Welcome to the SC104x4 thread! I'm sure you will be able to find any information about the truck while you are here............hmmmm....wait a sec, you seem to be very active and sell parts for the truck......so we'll be looking forward to any constructive advice that you can give the less knowledgeable members...........oh....wait....no....you're just a salesman who hasn't contributed any help what-so-ever to our thread trying to sell us stuff that we can get elsewhere for cheaper.... Thanks, but no thanks. I'll buy my stuff from people who have at least offered assistance and reasons to buy stuff....people who actually use the stuff they sell....

The ae Heavy duty pads perform better than you give credit ....;)

I've been meaning to say this for a while... :p

The HD pads don't increase how much torque the slipper can transfer, they only increase time between rebuilds and reduce fade.

Exactly right. The only way to increase clamping force is to change friction material or get more leverage by using larger diameter slipper plates.

They have physically more surface, thus more friction, no?
