Ok if I am running 30k in the front diff what would running 10k do for the truck? I have 5k in the rear and and running the Clutch Basket. Also what will the overdrive in the front do for the truck? The truck runs very good but just looking for ways to make it handle better.

I'm going to need to put the truck on some scales again to get it ballanced.

The 4000kv works best with RX8

I run the sidewinder set up on my truck w/1410 motor. I have had trouble with it over heating so i use the fan for the motor and shoe glued it to the esc so it not bad now but im changing to the tekin set up with the RX8 and the pro4 4k. Right now the pro4 4k is on back order so at least im getting me an RX8 to replace the sidewinder (junk) *cough* did I say that out load

Brilliant! I've been searching for a way to make inline saddles work with the RX8. Hopefully the rumored Exotek inline saddle bracket will accommodate using the RX8.

the current exotek setup is not considered inline from what I understand. Its an upfront setup?

Anyone compare the two and have opinions on them?

Does anyone have to use alot of force to get their Jconcepts Hazard wheels on? It seems alot tighter than the stock wheels. Also has anyone purchased a CC motor that came with very long wires(like about 8" long)? If you used the wires did have any problems with it being that long? I know people always say the wires are better when they are shorter.

Inline: Battery's are in the middle of the chassis, INLINE with the center line of the truck. Give's a better all-over balance of the truck.

Upfront: Battery's are as far forward, turned in the same direction as normal cars (b4.1, t4.1, TLR 22, etc...). Give's a more aggressive steering feel.

Seems All brands of the 12mm SC wheels are all real tight on the hexes when new. They will loosen up in short time. Something to do with the molding process I think.

I started with an RTR, tore it down, and put 30K in the front diff to start.
It made a huge difference going from 30K to 10K in the front diff. With 30K the truck felt more stable as the front pulled more with the heavier fluid. The down side was that it did not turn as quick as I would have liked. On tight turns I would dive in hard, get on the brakes, get the truck turned, and then get back on the throttle. Not the fastest way around the track. When the track was a little drier I could power slide through the turn without the backend coming around and it was fun. Last night the track was super tacky and I could not slide it. I put in 10K int he front diff and the truck was a completely different animal. It would turn on a dime but the truck was a lot more twitchy. I put 2mm washers under the front ball stud (outside position on tower) and it took some twitchyness out and still allowed me to turn tight but the rear end was a little loose for my liking. I need to work on this setup as I do like the 10K in the front but now need to work on chassis setup to get it where I want it.

I have not tried the overdrive pulley with the 10K in front. Something to try I guess. Most people at my track that run this truck (not many) prefer not to run the overdrive. It doesn't take long to throw the overdrive in and readjust the belt tension at the track to try. I noticed that Mayfield ran 30K diff fluid with overdrive in the front at the Reedy race which was run at my track. This was blue groove though and our club races typically run water prepped.

I measured the front width with stock wheels/tires at 288mm. ROAR legal width is 297mm. The JC Hazard wheels have a 3mm offset and widen the extremely narrow stance of the SC10 4x4. I understand the Blitz wheels have a 4.5mm offset and will fit the SC10 4x4. Anyone running these and how do you like them?
