Thanks for the suggestions; I'm glad I didn't fry anything in the process.

Cool. I was wondering why yours would need to be set to reverse as mine with the same setup on the same truck was normal.

Is there a chassis brace that doesn't use the underbody holes to mount to? I have to run a underbody, I get too much track dust, clay, loam, sand, etc underneath and want to protect my electronics.

Jeff you have an exotech chassis now, you dont need a brace!! i guess your truck has been away from you for too long!!! she is hitting the track friday! vid coming soon!

What's the track like that you'll be running? Very popular setup is yellow front and blue rear. If you need more steering then try blue front as well, it's a liter sway bar.

i dont race sorry no track here

I like that setup, but I want a little less rear weight transfer comming out of the corners. What's the best way to do that? Higher ride height in the rear? stiffer rear springs? More damping in the rear? Extra weight in the front?

For a basher truck I don't see why you'd want the the sway bars? Seems like your money would be better spent on spares or beefing up failure prone parts, rpm arms would be a good investment.

Yes.

Thanks. I went back and put actual 7k diff oil in the front instead of the 5k/10k mix I tried. Apparently it's not a linear ratio for getting the different weights as I was reading on the net and it seemed to add back a little on power steering. I've got the exotech and saddle packs on it's way this week which should move some weight forward (as well as 4 scales so I can actually measure that) so i probably won't change much till I get that installed.

I also started getting a bit of cogging about half way though the pack from a stop with the MMP and Pro4. I have the start power set to the default low setting and have the curve smoothed out around zero, are my packs just not up to the challenge?

Try yellow springs if you don't have them on already. Raise ride height 2mm and take it for a test drive. Maybe go up in shock oil?

Let us know what you figure out.

reedy 550-SL 4000kv

http://www.reedypower.com/products/details/925/

im thinking about this motor to replace my castle 1410 3800kv.
I really love my 1410 but want a new motor as back-up.
I do not wish for a huge 550 or 4-pole that draws massive amps.

I like the specs of the 550-sl 4000kv

Max. Efficiency Current: 10 / 50A

Max. Surge Current: 60A

any thoughts? or experiance with these ?

I love to hear it.
