No more than two amps>Period< unless you like shortening the life span of your cells. I charged the batteries my 18T came with and they started to vent when I was charging at 3 amps. I was only doing this becaus eI also have soem matched 2/3A GP1100's that do well with 3 amp charge rate. I would air on the side caution with th eprovided cells.

Rick S: There is no 'real' right way or wrong way. When the manual was done, the tie-rods were configured in one direction. When the truck was built, the tie-rods were configured backwards (or forwards, if you prefer). The truck will work the same no matter how they are installed.
Ok, here is some info ALL of you might be interested in.....
AE *IS* listening....
There is alot of input about a kit version of this truck. I can't say much, but we are listening. Keep the info coming as to what you might be interested in!!!!

Tie-rod direction
The reason the open end of the tierod needs to be on the end near the gearbox is so you can unscrew the ballstud to open the gearbox (hope this makes sense).
I've had great fun with my 18T so far, it seems to be another excellent associated product.

if everyone is all wanting to make there RC18T into a drag car.. why not run dual mombas?? it'd be so easy to rig a 2 motor brushless setup.. a dremel.. a soldering iron.. and deep pockets..
personally.. I don't know why you'd want it that fast.. mine stock is taking TQ everywhere

WOW
Well we finally got the chance to get my two sons trucks out in the open today and really test them out. Wow!! This truck really runs well. Very fast and handles great. I am impressed. I need one now. I'd be all over a kit version. Maybe do like HPI has done and sell a kit version with some hopups.
