ive got one set of spare springs and wanted to try this out, im using dot 4 break fluid how long do i leave them in it for before i remove them to wire brush the paint off?

dont warry i figured it out, dot4 break fluid doesnt work at all, i used paint thinner and it striped completely in 10 minutes, i also forgot that you shouldnt touch paint thinner :L my hand only looks a little bit red to what it did

paint stripper works. its messy though and the paint comes off in clumps

the other issue is with the springs bare they dont look great. I think the black RIT die is a good choice. quicker and easier too

ben can i black rit dye them after i strip the paint off them?

another option is gasket remover comes in spray can no need to touch let it set for 5 min and wipes paint right off!

No, dyeing them only works when the paint hasn't been removed.

Break out the dremel with a polishing wheel and some polishing compound and shine them up.

ok wasnt sure, im gonna de paint all my springs soon, i like the chrome look they give out.
