I'm gonna guess that you were running those 2 4S packs in parallel for 14.8v.

The components inside the Mamba Monster will instantly fry if you put 29.6v through them. Trust me, it was a very big deal to step up the FET's beyond 25v hardware. I can link you the fet number if you really want to do the research into what it will handle.

Maybe you are talking about NIMH batteries and not Lithium polymer?

Some have run the 8s with the MMM, but that is running at the limit of the fets and the TVS is allready gone.

snellemin, I thought there was programming in the software that keeps it from arming above 6s?

Is there a particular firmware version you need to use to pull it off?

I wouldn't do it with my MMM like we used to with the original MM's, but once the warranty is gone and I plan to upgrade anyway...

From what I know, is that it was with a few firmware revisions back. I haven't messed with the latest firmware either as I have read that it locks the voltage down. But I personally wouldn't run at the max voltage of the Fets. There is no room for error in gearing and mechanical brakes will be needed.
Yea the MM is a real powerhouse with a few mods. 6S was doable with ease.
