What do you guys think of a 3,5,2 on a big outdoor track with a hardpack clay surface ? I know i will lose power steering but crazy off power steering ! Im going to try it out on Sunday and see if i need to change anything. But from running it on Carpet it had mad off power steering /turn in !

Too thin in the front for me personally. If anything, I'd switch to 5-5-2 at a min.

I do 5-5-3 or 5-7-3 and really like those.

Try 3-5-2 and adjust accordingly. If it works for your driving style and your setup, roll with it.

Yea thats what im doing testing it out on the outdoor track first . I dont change the diff oils at the track the program runs to fast to do that

But the 3,5,2 is not for carpet really ive notice that to grabby on the steering and to much traction on the rear end.

That's what I run, and I really don't deviate from it. It just seems to work everywhere.

5-7-3 is great for my driving style. I can power drift through a 180 or point and shoot. Although I dont really "drive" through the track. I'm usually spinning/feathering around corners and mashing it on everything else. 5-7-3 really keeps the front locked in and hitting the throttle keeps the back tires directly behind the front. If the rear end starts to come around, more throttle straightens things out in a hurry.

Ok guys so which oils do you run for your shocks front and rear on an outdoor track about medium sized?Im having trouble picking shock oils for my truck, also which springs does mostly everyone outdoors?Im running 5-5-3 diff setup in my truck right but curious to know how differently the truck would drive if i put 7 in my center diff compared to my 5?any responses will be nice.

Go one up , put 10g in the center and see how it responds. Dont be cheap , get some variety and rip into it. Have fun, experiment for yourself.Center diff is the easiest diff to work on, its i diff you can rebiuld inbetween quals if need be

Lower viscosity center diff fluid allows power to transfer from front to rear easier. Higher you go, the more it locks in the front and rear. Front and rear diffs do the same thing side to side. So a 5-7-3 setup will force the front and rear diff to spin at the same speed without transfering power back and forth as easily as 5-5-3. For guys who have run Touring cars, we know that a locked/spool front or 1-way front diff is gonna drag the rear end out of a turn when you punch it and will keep the rear end trainling inline with the front. 5-5-3 or 3-3-2 is gonna work a little better on high traction surfaces with large sweepers. 5-7-3 will work better on a track with very tight turns or if your throttle style is on/off switch.

Besides the losi team kit and chassis, what are the other necessary updates?
