idk if it will be the best out there, the driver is what makes the big difference and how you like your setup not just the truck. Everyone has a different way of how they like their truck to drive, but if your a really good driver and have the right setup for the track then im sure it would.

cant wait to see how the beast runs after im done, going 5,5,3 in the diffs this time. had 5,3,3 in before and it was keeping up with my eco almost and was handling awesome. thanks for the tip with the 43t spur ryan !! didnt take much sanding to get it on either. i just wrapped some 120 around a AA cell and sanded for 2 minutes.
What tip is this about the 43T Spur??? How exactly does that work. I tried but the 43T (I'm guessing for the Losi 8 Buggy) seem too big. I don't know. What exactly were you sanding.

Most have been pretty good with the stock 3's up front. But we have done a lot and go back and forth between 4's and 5's in the rear. 5's with appropriate oil is great for the 8ith scale tracks that get rutted up. 4's for the more grooved tracks.

Okay so now I'm switching out my Tekin 4.5T to a Tekin 5.5T so I can have some more gearing options and not have to always be wondering, "am I cooking something?" LOL!!! Temp always stayed below 150 degrees but I could never really feel comfortable with that since I'm use to running 120 degrees or lower.

What's a good pinion to start with?? I was running my Tekin 4.5T at 14/40 and the RX8 with the current limiter at 85 any suggestions???

sand the center hole of the spur from a eight 2.0 . just 1/16 or so. i run a 4600 tenshock and had to come down so low in the pinions 11,12,13, ish and wanna go back up to like 14 , 15 , 16 as thats what i have mostly . 5$ part just saved me 40 in pinions lol hopefully better top end speeds.

I've always started at 13 for initial testing and worked my way up from there.

I run a sp v10 550 4.5 with a sp gt 2.0 , I use a 16t with some timing and a bit of turbo boost, and I come off the track at about 155 after a hard 6 min main. Works awasome and fast to. Esc comes off at about 100 and batter about the same.

Man...that's one more thing to screw me up. LOL

Can you imagine my 2400 w/ 20t on 3s and a 43t spur....complete blur going down the street.

Might want to try it just to see how fast it would be? Wow

So last night I am running 3 3 2 diffs. 27.5 and 30 shocks. novak 4.5 14mm rotor and med 2.0 calibers. First qual right after watering track I am .1 off TQ which is huge for me. 2nd qual track is a little dryer after watering and I am in 6th. Matter of fact I am the only guy that got slower in 2nd rnd. They don't water for the main and I can keep it from looping to save my life, end up 8th or 9th. I am by no means fast but I know I can drive this thing from the 1st qual results. I am looking for suggestions on what changes people would make for these changes in track conditions. It went from high grip wet to a dry groove with powder. Thanks guys.
