Or you could just run a high c pack and dial the throttle down with the transmitter. Never heard of a pro running a pack that is on the edge of discharging to fast and catching fire.

I race weekly with Kinwald and Maifield, and lots of other Nats A-mainers so I asked the reason why a lot of the Maifield Cavalieri setups show them using low C rated packs and they said it helps smooth out the punchiness on mod motors. Not trying to argue, I was just posting my thoughts on a specific lipo that was being discussed. They will work great in the SCTE.

They do that for two reasons actually 1 to smooth out the punch as already mentioned and because the packs are light. The pack will not discharge to fast in a 2wd buggy or ST now in a heavier 4wd sct that's a different story

I apologize if this has been asked, but I am not finding an answer through search. Has anyone had to use an external BEC with the Tekin RX8, Pro4 4600 with a Savox Servo. Currently I run a S6040 with an SR 300 RX but I have to run a BEC. I also just picked up a DSM2 RX hoping this could help.

I didnt need a bec just used glitch busters but also switched to dsm2 and the problem disappeared. Sr 300 are pretty iffy! I now use a jr 9100 t servo and ditched my savox servo's

Anyone have an upgraded chassis for sale? I'd like a KH chassis but no one has them in stock Also looking for a TLR tuning kit. I would go with the deal from Nitro House for the Bump chassis and TLR tuning kit but they are on backorder too I'm hoping maybe someone upgraded to the MIP kit and is selling all of their previous upgrades haha

Heatsink that works well for me. The Castle motor fan is crap (IMO) and a fan on a metal heat sink is not needed. Again, my opinion.

The IP 6800 mah 70c packs from Promatch have a good reputation. Paying $160 for two packs is a lot easier on my wallet than one $145 pack. Never been a huge Trinity fan either.

In 4wd SC and 1/8th scale I always run a Castle BEC. Eliminates potential issues and also allows you to send higher volts to the steering servo than the 5.75v - 6v that the built in BEC will feed the servo.

No news on this. Assume "no" and be happy and surprised if it ever comes out. I suspect we'll see and SCTE 2.0 some time in the future from TLR but don't hold your breath.

My truck has been driving like crap lately. I'm running Ryan's latest setup and it seems like the truck doesn't have enough pack, but the shocks seem to have alot of drag. The rest of the suspension seems to be free enough. I tried rebuilding the fronts last night using a fresh o-ring and bushing and there's a ton of sticktion on the shaft. I guess I need to invest in some new shafts. Are the TiN coated shafts any slicker than the stock ones?

I looked at the insides of the bodies and they still have the blue anodizing inside.

Any other suggestions? Will green slime make a difference? I usually just put a drop of oil on the o-rings.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris most of the sticktion comes from the O ring and plastic bushing, if you need to replace the shock shafts I would replace them with the Ti coated ones they are a bit smother. I know some of the local racers are using the low friction 22 o rings and using a thin bushing to make it fit corectly.
