I don't know how the scene looks like in Switzerland, but in Sweden the SCTE doesn't seem to be very popular.

At my track there is only one other with a scte, and he hasn't driven it in months due to diff problems. He has now purchased a sc10 4x4. That truck and the scrt10 seem to be the most popular in southern Sweden.

I've also been keeping tabs on races around the country, and from what i've seen there has only been one or two SCTE's attending.
Hi there,

Ah ok! Sorry about the assumption.

I do find it strange seeing as they were out of stock in late july, and got a new shipment in early august. They really should be from one of the later batches.

Grats on a nice truck anyway

Some better screws for the diff is also something that can save alot of time and headache.

Have you checked on the bottom of the battery tray?
Someone with a sticker could perhaps inform us on where the sticker is placed.

Hi there CAVG,
Sorry if UI sounded harsch... did not mean to...
Anyway, I have an 8IGHT 2.0 (nitro) so most of the screws will be used for the SCTe; same as the shock... I might try them on soon...
Enjoy the week,
V

Just had my first run. The car's great, has a lot of steering, handles bumps easily...
One issue though which will require attention: motor went very hot (to the point it hicks up when applying full throttle) after 5-6 minutes. I'm using a 16T pinion on a LRP X12L 4.5 has advised in the manual, but first post of this thread suggest a broader range of 13-16. I'm running on a track with a lot of braking, turns and acceleration so will start over from the low point of the range.

16 is high for the track you described. I run the same type track and I run either a 13 or 14.

Thanks, I'll start with the 13. Which kind of temp do you consider as ok after 5 minutes run?

Well, I would be looking for temps in the 140 to maybe 150 range in 5 minutes. My 3800 and the Tekin 4600 have ran very hot after 10 minutes with anything larger than a 14 tooth. I do not see how a larger tooth is ran. That is with no timing, current limiter at 80%, ect.... I have also done all of the lightening mods too and mine is considerably lighter than stock. Although I admit, with the 4600 there is no reason to run anything bigger than a 14 tooth even on larger tracks.

I would drop down to a 13 tooth and run it and see what your temps are. Then try a 14 tooth and see if it is under 180 after 10 minutes.

130 is PERFECT.

Hi! The sticker is on the long vertical edge of the battery tray, facing the centre driveshaft, near where the ESC is usually mounted. So definitely visible without disassembly.

No sticker = Batch 1
Sticker with "A" = Batch 2
Sticker with "AA" = Batch 3

Happy hunting!

anyone have the part number for the diff mount/chassis block off plate? I looked at the manual and can't find it. Mine broke somehow.

Hi there eddomak,
Was in Sydney a month ago to visit relatives.
Have already checked this one but to no avail.
I am surprised this is still part of the first batch...
Well actually not that surprised as there is a bit of rust on the outdrives...
Anyway, will fix that with recently ordered ChrisPins.
Thx for the reminder.
All the best down under,
V

I've been running it for several weeks now. Fit and finish is great. The anodization on the bottom is holding up really well. The chassis seems to have a bit more flex in the rear than the stock chassis because I almost immediately had to change the setup a little to get a little more steering. I'm very happy with it.

You do not need to add any cover to the center.
we designed the chassis to be a single purpose built Chassis
only for the Scte 4x4 (Electric) Racing.
You will need to use the shorted center diff screws due to the center diff
is lower for optional C/G. Plus all of the weight reduction not having to
use the Oem Plastic risers/ fasteners.
BCESPEED SC4x4 Pro Chassis.

Thank you

I ran that LRP 4.5 550 and geared with the 13 and still regularly hit 180-190 on temp. Change in ambient temp, adding cooling to motor; nothing made it break out of that range. The LRP motor just runs very, very hot.
