If they designed it ai that the tabs were opposite of how they currently are, it would work great, but they didn't, so it's a hassle. Debating of going back to stock straps, only reason I haven't is because I already dropped $30 in this thing.

Nothing beats the stock velcro strap yet IMO.

I used the stock post for body(use velcro for body so they were useless), then i got a cone washer(can be found almost anywhere like racers edge annodized washers), they i used a old aluminum fuel tank post i had(idk where they came from but you can use plastic or what ever thats double threaded. I put the washer upside down with tank post on top of it and used a screw from the chassis hole already there and screwed my body post in on top.

I'm not changing from the stock velco straps until I have a problem with them.

So far my batteries have not budged even a tiny bit, no reason to fix something that's not broken.

Hey guys..Working on my 22 and had a couple questions. So far build has been great. Only hicup was the kit was missing one 55 piston which sucks because thats what the setup calls for but other then that its gone together great.

I see dustins setup has 2.5 for rear antiquat. How do you achieve this on the car?? I noticed it has the shims but i also noticed it has different sized inserts that go in the front/rear suspension holder. This stuff was all in the extra bag. I installed the 2.5 shim but when i tried to install the 2.5 insert for the suspension holder the screws dont catch it. Im a lil confused as to how they are used. The regular one thats comes with nothing written on it the screws catch it fine but all the other ones the holes are too big and the screws dont catch.

Also whats the whole cut bladders thing about on his setup sheet?? Is thats something that most do??

Ive kinda gone trough the tread but its so big and full of info. If anyone has anymore tips and tricks please share. Also what are the normal/must have mods that are being done??...Thanks a ton guys.

You just cut the cup shaped part of the bladders off so that they are basically just a big o-spacer. This makes them emulsion type shocks. I dont know what the difference in performance between the bladder and emulsion is though.

Go back to page 1 of this thread and You should see a guide that one of the mods did with all kinds of useful info in regarding the build.

I grabbed a JR Z9000 T servo because I needed one for the 22 build and a guy at my local shop swore it was solid as hell. It was pricey, but it's been absolutely great for the buggy so far. What JR are you running, and what do you think of the Z9000 T?
